Bill Simmons player comparison are terrible.
Hate the trade for Chicago
Doesn't make a ton of sense. If they're clearing cap space to make a run at Melo why draft a guy that plays a pretty similar role.
Fun fact: Payton from ULL led the entire NCAA in turnovers, he was drafted 10th.
Lakers got a very nice pick in Randle. Now let's see what they do with all that cap space. If Kobe can still play they are likely to be competitive next yea. Of course, they don't have a coach yet
I'm really confused right now. Philly took a player with a higher pick and then traded him and a future pick for a player that was picked lower. And that player isn't coming to the NBA for another 2 seasons. Totally flabbergasted.
Philadelphia is the city where the Founding Fathers plotted the American Revolution --> aka the '1776ers'! Forget LA Embiid, embrace the 'revolucion'!
Phili may be building their best team since Dr. J, Moses, & M0-Cheeks!
They received a 1st and 2nd round pick and got to pay less.
I think Phili has '5', that's right five 2nd Rd picks! It might be a little diffcult finding a place for everyone on their roster next season.
Ok, ESPN had it wrong. They had Philly Getting Saric and Orlando getting Payton and a 2017 1st rounder. In reality it's Philly getting yet another 2nd rounder, this one in 2015.
I HATE the Lakers!
I thought that the Orlando Magic or Boston (surprisingly took Smart) would take Randle!
With their being a question about Randle's foot not healing properly & requiring surgery, the Magic instead took Aaron Gordon! I guess the new Magic GM (formerly from the Spurs organization) wanted to take a player who had no history of injury problems - seems like a prudent choice after the Grant Hill fiasco!
Gordon is also a better defensive player than Randle.
I hope so; giving up a future 1st rounder seems too pricey! A 2nd rounder for a swap of players make more sense!
I like the Aaron Gordon pick by Orlando but the Payton pick seems a little risky.
The 2017 should be heading to Philly.
The. Jrue trade strings keeps going.
Jrue for Noel, Saric, future 1st and future 2nd. Not bad.
Yeah, it made no sense that they would gift up assets to get a player they could have picked themselves higher. They actually got an extra asset to move down.
Kyle Anderson to the Spurs.... He'll probably be a lot better there than anywhere else he would have played.
I'm not big on Gordon, poor mans Blake Griffin (very poor) nothing against him, hope he succeeds. I would've preferred Vonleh or Randle.
Personal preference. I'd much rather live in SLC.
Didn't want to start a new thread.. Just saw Scottie to play in Summer league with Memphis.. and Vegas summer league with Philly.
