Well, this should be a boon for fundraising at the NAACP and Rainbow Coalition. And, yes, that's the sole motive here folks.

They have no case, and the attempt can only hurt the administration and its party politically. It could literally become the Democrats' Terri Schiavo.

    Many are. That's the point.

That and face time. Jesse and Al, in particular, are very fond of that.

Because, without it, they would cease to exist.

This can only detract from their efforts to have the portrait of Robert E. Lee removed from the Lee County courthouse in Ft. Myers.:plain:

there's going to be a lot of ridiculous overreactions to the verdict, as there would have had he been found guilty.

Well, I would think one should expect more from a 104-year old organization like the NAACP. Then again, not so much. . .

No way they appeal to cooler heads when there is a HUGE fundraising opportunity that must be maximized.

I'm surprised they didn't go to the UN and and complain like they did about the supposed voter suppression in Florida.

What is it with all the Liberals that like the UN so damned much?

CNN's Candy Crowley (of the "oh, yes, he said it was a terrorist attack" debate fame) asked Texas Gov. Perry about "people of color being concerned that the justice system is skewed against them..." IMHO, here's how Perry should have answered: "well, Candy, we have a Hispanic man that's been acquitted of charges by an all-white jury - why would people of color be upset with this verdict?" It would have been interesting to see her response to that comment.

"all people of color are created equal; but, some people of color are more equal than others"

IMHO, do blacks have a gripe about how they are viewed, portrayed, profiled, and arrested? HELL, YES! And, at the same time, do I believe that protesting, boycotting, etc. with respect to this verdict will help the black community in how they are viewed, et al.? Hell, no. This is when and where President Obama COULD do something useful for this country and challenge the race pimps, the absentee fathers, the thug culture AS WELL AS those involved in wrongly targeting black youth, the education and judicial systems and others in the position to help to deal with race, the problems of the black community as well as the lower economic group which seems chained to a life of poverty and hopelessness. In this case, leading from behind will not cut it.

Do you know how many black boys are killed every year by other black boys?

Where is the outrage to this fact? Why isn't the NAACP marching about that?

I wish the NAACP would start doing more constructive things for black communities instead of providing a race baiting platform for the sole purpose of lining people's pockets.
