I'm guessing the march was not simply about voter ID

Where does it say they need it to actually attend? It's probably as a form of protection for them. I mean, will they not be able to attend if they don't eat a balanced meal?

Good catch. Yeah, it's obviously not required. Another false headline.
We need to attach this to the thread trying to tie Democrats with uninformed voters.

What I want to know is who decides whether the shoes you wore were comfortable enough to be allowed to attend. You know, since wearing a hat and comfortable shoes was also apparently required in order to attend.

In all seriousness, I would guess the reason they are told to bring a photo ID is because a protest march brings with it the possibility of interacting with police. I would assume they're trying to avoid having participants potentially be temporarily detained with the excuse that the police needed to temporarily hold them while figuring out who they are since they weren't carrying IDs.

The NAACP has yearly shoe comfortability checker training.

It would be much simpler to have a list of approved shoes.

Meanwhile, I'm guessing that all over the Internet, conservatives are telling each other that the NAACP required an ID. Ignorance feeding the ignorant.

DO watch for people who join the march from the public and report them to a Marshal?

We certainly don't want the public involved in a rally.

Their goal is 120% voter turnout. It's easy to attain when you're pro-abortion like they are.

Yep the circus arrived yesterday demanding the private working people pay their bills. The star attraction was the vulgar and ego maniac Rev. Barber who solicited thousands of out of state comrades to attend and demand the private workers of NC pay millions more in unemployment benefits and Medicaid for the NC comrades too lazy to work. As the liberals on this board like to say, try winning an election.

And ID requirement or just a strong suggestion to bring an ID, this is irony at its finest.

How many people of color as well as poorer working people will be ostracized because of the difficulty and expense of getting a photo ID? Sure, they can take a day off of work to go march and protest; but, to take another day off of work to get that State ID (since none of them drive to work) or school ID (since education is beyond the reach of anyone but the 1%) is, well, just racist. Please - this is quite humorous. Yes, they did not require the ID for admittance; but, reasonably so, they recommended carrying a photo ID for probably a variety of very well meaning purposes - unlike voting.

    So let's see:
    1. The protest wasn't just about voter ID
    2. The NAACP didn't require IDs from participants.

Other than that, I'd say the OP nailed it just about as much as he usually does.

Don't lie, if you're like me you at least have the reassurance that any time you see that red white and blue portrait of Mr. Bean (I know, I know, don't try to tell me you don't see the resemblance though) beside the OP you know it's going to be funny.
