The Pussification of America continues and is a direct result of the PC mindset.

Sadly, our greatest days are in the rear view mirror.

I'm trying to figure out when to be outraged.

From what I can tell, this stuff all is good clean fun and/or protected political expression (just a few of thousands of possible examples). Nothing to see here:

But this is an outrageous incitement of violence against the President:

The full power of the federal government should be brought down on the perpetrators; lives should be ruined.

Is this the gist of it?

Good grief. The NAACP really is stretching the race card to all time highs.

ok, let's do a little exercise. Imagine it's 2007 and the state 5a football championship is in Tallahassee and the two competing schools are Miami Jackson and Miami Norland, both pretty much all black high schools (district thing may not work, but play along with me). it's half time and the Viking band does a skit involving W and some pit bulls while the announcer pumps up the all black crowd to watch W get torn to pieces. The crowd is into it and howling!

Everyone cool with that? No accusations of racism or comments about something like that happening at a state sponsored event?

If pit bulls were tearing people apart dressed in costume at every game, and if this were a private, not public sanctioned event, as would have to be the case to make a fair comparison. Then no.

But your comparison is so utterly stupid, it proves you don't have a leg to stand on.

Gee, what a perfect analogy. That's exactly what the announcer was suggesting - that Obama be torn to bits. I now fully understand the hysterical reaction to the rodeo stunt.

"“The announcer wanted to know if anyone would like to see Obama run down by a bull," reads Beam's account. "The crowd went wild. He asked it again and again, louder each time, whipping the audience into a lather...."

Let's see... run down by a bull, torn to bits by pit bulls..... run down by a bull, torn to bits by pit bulls. Yeah, nothing similar about those two possibilities and an easy pick.

But just to make it fair, why don't we make it "scarred for life by pit bulls". Is that better?

Possibly, to someone who has never seen bull riding at a rodeo. But keep working at it!

Sure. Everyone knows the all black crowd would only be cheering for this because Bush was a terrible President. Color has nothing to do with it, nor does the 'state sponsorship'.

Now if the announcer was Sharpton, and he starting saying kill the white cracker, then we got somethin.

Actually most ppl. probably would be cool with that--all the late night talk shows would be getting a kick out of it, SNL might even give a hat tip on their little mock news segment--(perhaps just a hand full of vocal evangelicals might be crying foul), but mostly folks would probably discount it as just mildly distasteful...

...but hardly anyone would be crying racism.

    What was your point anyway?

Once again, you wiffed on an analogy (like the one where you compared Reagan's acting, and Bush's partying, to Barry's academics...I mean, yeah, they're all comparable...but that doesn't bode so well for Barry...).

If you don't get the whole analogy thing, there are other ways to make your point.
