This race card pulling at every event is really becoming tiresome.

I disagree with the NAACP on this, but it's hardly the one that introduced race into that issue and event.

Therein lies the problem - spring loaded to play the race card. It simply couldn't be someone making fun of a terrible president. It MUST be making fin of a black person... Who happens to be the president.

you've got plenty of people on both sides of the aisle admitting the thing was in poor taste.

Parodying Presidents in mask or costume has never been a controversy in my memory until this President. Not only because he is singularly thinskinned (I still harp on his near hissy over ear jokes at the outset of his campaign in 2007), but because his political allies find advantage in casting every course of business parady or satire of the man as racist.

A clown wearing an Obama mask introduces "race into that issue and event?"

    My goodness

no, i think calling for Obama to be seriously injured was the issue. not simply the mask. presidential masks are hardly uncommon.

Poor taste at a rodeo? I find this hard to believe.

Oh please just stop it. It was a clown. At a rodeo.

As an aside. Did you find it equally egregious when folks called for the assassination of Bush?

(insert; "I didn't know that happened and you can't prove it happened" lameness)

yes, if someone called for the assassination of Bush, I think it'd be in poor taste. And if someone did it in a public gathering with spectators, I think it'd be even worse.
You guys can hold out all you want and pretend to be shocked that anyone would be bothered by it, but the fair has apologized, has banned the clown, both Democrats and Republicans in Missouri have acknowledged it shouldn't have happened.
Lots of people obviously think it crossed the line.

Okay leaving the racism stuff aside....this is not something the DOJ & SS should be involved in. I mean, seriously - there are enough problems going on in this country and you want to waste valuable resources investigating a rodeo clown?

Please DOJ - go and arrest every single person that's ever worn a Presidential Halloween mask throughout the years of every president.

no offense, but you should probably read the story. or the comments on this thread. it's not about simply wearing a mask.
