Good points. Also I am pretty sure Carroll stated the accuser reported the attacker to be 6'2" - 6'4". My guess is that the 5'9" - 5'11" was for Casher, or maybe Darby. And was either misreported or intentionally misrepresented by TPD.

    Vic="...gonn'a need a bigger boat."

I'm sure her current counsel is duly competent; but she's dealing with some pretty big *fish* here. The flats boat probably ain't quite gonna' cut it.

(NB: this is coming from a flat's boat guy myself--I'd referred this thing out from the get).

    Just say'n...

My take on it all....(and yes she needs big time counsel and bucks to counter what she's up against)

facts.....during the time from the victim reporting the rape, dec 7th......to her identifying jameis as her
attacker in early January the TPD did the following....

perform a rape kit and take blood and urine samples from the victim and stored them......
interviewed the victim 5 times over 5 weeks and obtain statements from friends (that doesn't sound like
someone who isn't interested in pursuing charges coming to the station repeatedly)
obtained phone and social media records from the victim and her friends.....
and then the TPD waited.......the victim had memory lapses and they began to slow walk the investigation...
hey, FSU football players were possibly involved......this could be serious, "lets wait and see"

one crucial piece of info.....the victim remembered that one of the men was a freshman football
player named chris......can't confirm it but from what i've read there is only one freshman football
player with first name chris.....casher, jameis' friend/roommate? Soooo....i think the
TPD knew jameis was involved way before the victim did. The FSU athletic dept was quietly
    notified...maybe jameis too....time to lawyer up.......and then wait.......she can't remember anything, right?

but FATE IS THE HUNTER and plays a terrible trick on them all......she happens to "lock eyes" with jameis in one of her classes in the beginning of the january semester......she waited to hear his name during roll call and then she called the TPD......."I know who raped me"......now the SHTF, so to speak........houston, we have a problem........

now the TPD goes into action....a little late......
-they went to Potbelly's to check the security cameras.....oops, they recycle every month....nothing there
-no check of the security cameras near the place where he dropped the victim off at the street corner.....
( what?, it was such a good and consensual time with the "willing participant" he couldn't even drop her off
    at her dorm/apt?)
-sent the urine and blood samples in after holding onto them for 37 days....need an expert here to discuss
degradation of samples and effects on testing.....
-interview and ask cab drivers to step forward if they remember anything....sorry, that was five weeks ago
-still no interviews of the friends/roommates involved or jameis himself.....hey, they've retained an attorney
-still no check of jameis or his friends phone records
-it takes 10 more months to get him in for DNA checks
-meanwhile, the social media attacks begin and the spin and the baseless untruthful assaults take their toll
on the victim......pathetic and shameful.....and finally the Tallahassee Democrat goes into full defense
mode for jameis.....a young FSU woman/student at first ignored and then slammed mercilessly......
-and so on and so on.....a complete and utter fail of justice........just saying........have a nice day

That about sums it up except -

    1. Apparently, they did not go to Potbelly's even after JW was identified as the rapist. I linked an article somewhere on a thread here that mentioned that the owner of Potbelly's said the TPD just showed up RECENTLY, which leads me to believe it was last month after the story broke.
    2. After JW was id'ed, Det. Angulo sent an e-mail to the cab co. asking if anyone remembers picking up the party in question. He didn't personally visit them and ask around at that time.

It's been a coverup since Day One - Dec. 7, 2012. The moment she mentioned "Chris," a football player, she never had a chance for justice.

Angulo said he e-mailed the cab company, but evidently there is no record of the e-mail.

Who'd have thought the Nobel and Heisman would have so much in common?

This comment is not meant to politicize the alleged life changing rape of a young college student.

The mainstream media is a powerful force in controlling the human thought process, emotions, responses, and actions. This is evidenced in today's social, political, and legal arena. It can justify and glorify giving the Nobel Peace prize to one who may do something in the future. Just as it may fail to articulate and continue the search for the truth in a legal matter. Today's media is corporate owned and in large part government controlled, either through legal, political, or monetary means. Winstongate has become just another failure in the long line of the media's part to pursue truth and justice. Can you say $$$$$$$$$$$? Sort of reminds me of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah......if there were 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 righteous men in the city it would not be destroyed....poof, down in flames.

The record is probably at the same place as the cell phone that Casher conveniently lost, both being carefully protected by the security guard Casher claims he talked to and who conveniently no longer holds his job.

The issues are boader than FSU football.
The question is does the TPD, FSUPD, the FSU AD and FSU tuirn a blind eye to violence against women.
Most of what Sandusky did was off campus.
    PSU was not spared.

Every single person that has been complicit in the cover-up of this rape, whether through commission or omission is guilty as an accomplice. While it may be overlooked in the present, to carry this guilt and know every time you hear Winston's name you were an accomplice to rape, it will become a terrible burden.

Too bad real life doesn't work like TV cop shows where they put the Hat of Truth and Justice on the culprit and the pressure it exerts on their truth gland forces them to confess.

Interesting article on the situation at UConn and the civil rights lawsuit being brought against the university for mishandling sexual assaults at the university. Here is a section of the article:

The other four women are among seven students and recent graduates who asked the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights to conduct a federal investigation of UConn in October. The women allege the school failed to protect them and responded to their sexual assault complaints with deliberate indifference or worse.

The lawsuit alleges discrimination based on gender and retaliation in violation of Title IX, which guarantees equal educational opportunities to students at schools that receive federal funds. It seeks unspecified monetary damages and changes in university policies.

The Office for Civil Rights began its Title IX investigation earlier this month. Sanctions could include the loss of federal funds for the school.

This case is one that supports one of the things that UFLAW81 has been saying all along regarding the lack of a Title IX investigation around the Winston case. Oh and Gloria Allred is the woman's attorney.

What I still find so disgusting about all of this are nolie fans rationalizing the rape of a young girl because they want to win their precious NC without having to feel guilty about supporting a rapist QB.

It was literally unprecedented that Winbston was not charged with a DNA match and bruises found on the victim comparable too rape, and his was the ONLY DNA in the girl's underwear. Her boyfriend's was on her pants and could have been there for days or weeks.

Winston was not charged because he was the home-town football hero and because of a DA who was an FSU alumni and booster who was also trying to score political points after his failed, disastrous politically-motivated attack on Liberty C. Sheriff, Larry Finch.

If you take a look at the timeline it is clear FSU knew in January that Winston was being investigated.
There is nothing to indicate that any questions involving title IX or NCAA compliance were addressed by the University.
Perhaps it was, but it is not evident.
The slippery slope is what is learned or disclosed now that the press and private lawsuits are fair game.

All three of the names on the prosecution side that seemed to be most often mentioned when talking about this case were major FSU types. Meggs we know about. Capplemen = daughter of ex-FSU QB, Angulo trying to get security guard work from FSU boosters. I can just imagine the hue and cry that would have erupted from FSU if our most important player was accused of sexual assault and the three people most often mentioned in the "investigation" (aka whitewash) were a SA who graduated from UF and was a big UF football fan, Steve Spurrier's daughter, and a cop looking for UF booster work.
