Hope you enjoyed it.
Take this opportunity to review Proverbs 16:18.
I hope those of you who predicted an ass kicking realize that our coaches' offensive philosophy makes that an impossibility.
Complete bullchit. Did you even watch the game?!
The only reason we lost was becauae of TOs and penalties. If we play clean,we win that ame by a minimumofthree TDs.
Of course I watched. Predictable play calling. Afraid to take shots downfield throughout game. Contempt with ground and pound instead of getting a good lead via the air, no killer mentality. Our offense can't put an opponent away.
On the plus side, Driskel did break the 200-yard passing barrier, which was previously believed virtually impossible. I don't think that making our kicker nail eight field goals is a good strategy to win games, but apparently that is what our coaches have come up with. The problem is that we pushed too hard to give the kicker easy field goals, and that caused turnovers.
Just because this strategy didn't work against a powerhouse team from a powerhouse conference does not mean it won't work in the SEC...
Ass kicking, except for the only stat that matters.
You were actually very close to his total yards (310). I know he committed many turnovers, but I think he took a big step forward with his passing game. We will improve and I think we only lose maybe 1 more game the rest of the season!
Driskel still has to figure out how to make plays in the red zone. The yardage is much more difficult there for a reason. I really do wonder how much time Driskel spent in practice in the red zone against a live defense, because it seems like the coaches might have avoided that situation to boost his confidence.
We will not lose ONLY one more game this season. The sloppiest offense in the SEC had its a$$ handed to them by a middle-of-the-pack ACC team, and now has to face nine SEC teams. It doesn't look good. A defensive coordinator might put in his backups against UF between the 20's, let Driskel get his yardage, and then put in the starters for the red zone and shut him down and/or get a turnover. Kentucky might be able to beat us with this strategy, if they can score 14-17 points.
I'll never forget our time of possession on 9/7/2013.
My kids kids will know the glory of this achievement.
