Lt. General Curtis Michael Scaparrotti became the 223rd four-star general in the history of the United States Army today. That is the highest rank normally granted. Prior to rising to the rank of general, Scaparrotti served as director of the joint staff at the Pentagon, served as second in command of U.S. forces in Afghanistan from July 2011 to June 2012, and is now commander of all U.S. forces in South Korea. I still remember Mike (Logan class of '74) getting tackled into our bench and tearing up his knee, ending his senior year. My brother was on the team, I was 7th grade, but the whole county went to one school, 7th -12th grades so everybody knew everybody. Congrats Mike!
