The cure for musical ADD, listen to more.
These dudes brought it big time at Red Rocks Amphitheater last night. Killer light show and the snow was dumping big time. Trippy scene for sure
Anything but Bruno Mars.
Liked that REM performance. That was one of my favorite songs out of their IRS years. Come to think of it, all my favorite songs were from the IRS years.
Right this second, kdhx.org, click "listen live" for Juxtaposition. Best radio show in this sector of the Milky Way. If you don't catch it this week, try next Wednesday, 7:00-9:00 CST, or go to the archives where you can hear either of the last two week's shows at any time. DJ Rob Levy is one of my best friends in the world and obviously one of the best DJs/musicologists in the world, galaxy and beyond. Call him during his show at 314-364-3688, tell him you know me and he will play anything you want to hear, unless it's totally lame. As far as saying you know me, just say "That guy up in Chicago that has the twins."
In celebration of William Burrough's 100th birthday and the passing of Phillips Seymour Hoffman…
Heroin is so Passe by the Dandy Warhols
Dunno if this has been posted...just saw this on Facebook...
Let's go way back. The Mills Brothers never stopped getting better with age. Here are the last two performances of theirs that I can find on YouTube. Harry, who had always been the leader and the most animated of the three on stage, was blind from diabetes by this time and had to stand still at the microphone. His sadness at this really shows through a couple of times.
needed something relaxing. listened to this til i fell asleep.
This is interesting
So, this happened last night.
then you'd remember this and find it totally awesome
for some reason this has always been my fave r.e.m. song
One of mine, too. I guess Fables signifies a time when greater independence came upon me.
