    Last year's lineup.

    http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/

That was 'effing ridiculous. Makes Lolla look like one of those midday town square music fests. How does anyone get off work for that long? How does anyone endure that much great music without it turning into mush? How could you hear Billy Bragg, Primal Scream, Elvis Costello and the Rolling Stones in one day without your head exploding? How could you hear Rufus Wainwright, Kenny Rogers, Vampire Weekend, Nick Cave and Mumford & Sons one after the other without storming the stage and strangling one or more of them?

There are 60 stages. I thought Grant Park was big and Lolla just has eight stages. Do you have to pay extra for jet packs or do they come with general admission. How big is this place? I figured Glastonbury was a small town. It appears to be a recently discovered continent.

I'm totally there. I just need gainful employment and some explanation to my wife why it's so important that I make the trip. I will also need multi-vitamins.

My best guess is they are on mdma methylone or 2cb as well any other psychedelics they can find. Europe has that moon rock stuff you can't find in the states. As for Xanax I never fly without it. It's the only way I go to the airport. It's not the flying that gets me, it's all the people.

In all seriousness it could be epic. I need to do this.

Its Pearl Jam week on Jimmy Fallon. They are on tonite and Friday nite. 'Footsteps' by Chris Cornell and The Avett Brothers was excellent.

Love what I've heard from the new album. Don't understand the negative reviews. I'm not even a fan and I'm excited by this album.Mind Your Manners has the sound of an instant classic.

It's a pipe dream, but I still have a pipe somewhere and occasionally have dreams come true. Let's see what it takes to turn a pipe dream into an epic reality.

FWIW, I have a friend who is a molecular biologist at UCSF originally from Manchester. She paid her way through school in Aberdeen and Edinburgh making MDMA back home and selling it in Scotland during the school year. Not sure she's into that anymore, but we're still in touch with her old Lancashire mates, many of whom had the same aptitude for chemistry.

Or we could just be grown ups and enjoy the music.

I just watched/listened again to the full 20 minute segment from the 1985 Live Aid concert where Freddy Mercury and Queen gave one of the greatest live performances of all time.

My favorite solo effort by Lou. His heart was always in his home town. He understood the pleasures and the desperation of that city better than anyone.

Trying to find out when he will be buried. Can't say Kaddish until he is in the ground.

Saw the Killers last night and they did a tribute to Lou during their set. Nothing major just put up a picture and said a few words and covered a song. Have to admit, though I know his name and reputation I have not listened to much of his music. Might have to set up a spotify station and see what I missed.
