Yeah, not much of a fan, either, but have always been impressed with their staying power. Seem like a good bunch of guys who have carved out a career doing what they love. Plus, they obviously have some musical chops.

I've been listening this week to my George Harrison station on Pandora Radio in honor of what would have been the 70th Birthday for the youngest Beatle.

Hayes is a super cool dude. A buddy of mine who lives in Austin is friends with him and his wife. We go to Key West for the month of July and my friend invited Hayes to come on down for a few days so he and his wife accepted. Nice bunch folks, totally laid back and a very talented songwriter. He is getting a lot of play on Outlaw Country these days. Count me as a fan.

Getting ready for a trip to New Orleans. Trying to get myself in the mood. Just remembered this great song and brilliant video about the Bayou Country from a Brit. Forgot a what a spectacular cinematic and musical gem this was from the early nineties. Watch closely. Listen intently. It will make you swoon.

Guess this thread lost some traction while I was gone.

Got a little sentimental about some stuff I was listening to in the 90s. Here's a few by one of the most gifted and beautiful female singer songwriters, Sam Phillips, the former Mrs. T-Bone Burnett.

Listening to kdhx.org live. My friend Rob is the guest DJ tonight from seven till nine CST. His regular show is the same time slot on Wednesday night. Rob has the most amazing musical knowledge and taste of anyone I've ever known. Hit that url now, and push the Listen Live button.

He just played one of the new songs from Johnny Marr's new album. Sounded great. Rob interviewed Johnny last week for one of the music pubs he writes for.

Interesting, they usually don't leak stuff. I guess there are so many festivals these days that they have to toss out few teasers to hold folks at bay.

The Killers don't really do it for me but women love that band. I may have to cruise that set.

I see that Nine Inch Nails is reuniting and doing some shows this summer. Wonder if they will make Lolla this year?
