The Book I Read-Talking Heads
Classical selections, currently Chopin.
Backsell - Desaparecidos
This is a masterpiece if you can get your brain wrapped around this the right way. If you can't, you're probably beyond any hope of musical enlightenment. You might as well just buy the entire Abba catalogue and listen to that the rest of your life.
Heard a song on Pandora today...not really musically my taste, but lyrically, I loved it.
"Gray or Blue" by Jaymay
If you don't like this, you are atonal, arhythmic, and your life has no meaning. You should just walk into traffic with your eyes closed, ideally with an iPod plugged into both ears. At least your last remaining seconds will give you some hope of momentary enlightenment. Jesus will not be your savior, but Brian Eno might be.
You feel strongly about this tune.
ZBB made some love makin music
Calexico's version of the Minutemen song, Corona.
Original version performed by the band that packed more into 2 mins or less than any other, Minutemen
Now, a great cover by Calexico with added guitars, brass and steel guitar

Here's a good one if you dig electronic disco. Benoit & Sergio, local to where I live. Been listening to them a lot lately.
We need more Chuck D
Been watching a lot of Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles on YouTube. Her eyes and gyrations is like soft porn. One I have been listening to a lot is "something that you said" from their Doll House cd. Watch the French version of it. Truly amazing
Brother, let me tell you. I saw her in NYC a couple of years ago doing an accoustic set with Matthew Sweet at a very small venue. I was then and still am totally mesmerized. 52 yrs old and even more stunning now IMO.
that track is pretty tight what do you think

That track is very solid.
I dig it. Makes want to buy up some of their older stuff that I had on tape but have since lost.
I must have also been drinking strongly that night. Still think it's a great song, but I have to admit that the first time I heard it in the late seventies, I totally didn't get it. The change in tempo, the weird falsetto scream and the lyrics were too much for my cannabis saturated brain. Had to put on some Marley afterwards to regain my equilibrium. Talking Heads didn't coalesce for me until Remain in Light. It wasn't till then that the early stuff made any sense, and then of course the movie, Stop Making Sense.
Yeah, same here. It was so unorthodox for the times, I suppose. Stop Making Sense is what hooked me. Still does, brilliant stuff.
