Maybe ill pop in. They are playing in the sports book so free show in a really small lounge. Plus I can throw a few bets down while I'm there.

Saw Sloan Saturday night. Outstanding show. They're kind of a cross between early eighties jangle pop and 90s lo-fi. Remind me a lot of Pavement. Was not very familiar with them, but my son's been nuts about them for a few years. Took him and my little brother who was visiting from Panama City.

Not bad. Give that lead guitarist a Rickenbacher and he is Pete Buck in the mid-Eighties.

Thought that myself. Saw three guitarists (two guys switch between guitar and drums) keep switching between Telecasters, or between an SG and a Telecaster, but they were all playing like Pete Buck/Holsapple. Love Rickenbackers, but also Fender Jaguars. They can deliver a similar sound.

Saw Suzanna Hoffs at City Winery in NYC a couple of years ago. So damn hot at age 50 it is unbelievable.
