    Saw Sloan Saturday night. Outstanding show. They're kind of a cross between early eighties jangle pop and 90s lo-fi. Remind me a lot of Pavement. Was not very familiar with them, but my son's been nuts about them for a few years. Took him and my little brother who was visiting from Panama City.

    Thought that myself. Saw three guitarists (two guys switch between guitar and drums) keep switching between Telecasters, or between an SG and a Telecaster, but they were all playing like Pete Buck/Holsapple. Love Rickenbackers, but also Fender Jaguars. They can deliver a similar sound.

    Saw Suzanna Hoffs at City Winery in NYC a couple of years ago. So damn hot at age 50 it is unbelievable.
