Well he did give us 4 practices to attend. How much more do you want? And what is this chokehold you're talking about? Gatorzone has posted numerous videos on practices. Other sites habe random footage as well....

    BOTTOM LINE: JUST WIN.... (Legally/cleanly)

    THAT'S what's important.

Wow 4 whole practices and numerous videos. Is there access like there was pre-Meyer?
No. Compare spring practice for fans under Spurrier to spring practice under Muschamp.
Or the same for in season under Spurrier to in season under Muschamp for the media.
The program needs the media to help sell tickets. The media needs the program to help sell papers or online advertising.
Fans need the media to help them identify with the program.
A program that ignores its fans pays the price in ticket sales, and fan interest.
We won 11 games last year and there were still plenty of empty seats deep into the season. You cannot convince me that the Saban school of media relations practiced now at UF is not a factor

This I agree with. Just once it would be nice if no players where suspended for any games.

Only a couple of thousand people show up to practices. It really isn't a big deal. Winning is the most important thing. Limiting practices is also about limiting players to agents and other shady parties.

The empty seats up top? The heat index was insane! Make that a 3:30 or later game and its a packed house. And even todays attendance was still solid. As for practices, four is plenty, IMO. Why do we need more open practices? So you can go watch them hit tackling dummies over and over? Lol 4 practices is just enough to get a nice glimpse of the new recruits and old veterans.

Find something else to complain about. I just don't see an argument here.

I hope the media is finally held accountable. But I doubt it.

I'm not complaining, but I will try to put it even more simply.
The program erodes when fan interest falls.
Fan interest falls when there is less information dispensed.
There is less information when reporters are deeply limited.

There are things I notice that show early signs of erosion. I am not talking about today's attendance.
(None of this points to Muschamp as a bad coach or this as a bad season. On the contrary I think Muschamp is a great defensive coach and recruter, and on his way to possibly becoming a great head coach. I think the gators could win the SEC this year.)
Simple enough? It has nothing to do with one games heat index. And yes, it's happening at plenty of other programs too.

The only thing that will "erode" fan interest is wins and losses, not closed practices. Four open practices, and (once in a while) PC's from coach Boom is plenty for me. And I consider myself a diehard.
