if he "knows what he is doing" and his plan failed miserably against lsu, what is the solution? Why not quick slants based on the QB reads?

And this obsession he has with trying to "out-physical" every opponent is something that worries me too. Sometimes, you're just not going to be able to do that with the personnel you have.

We can out-physical and wear down most of the opponents on our sachedule, but there are a few who match up with us very well in that department too.

Agree agree agree. Same issue we had last half of 2012 -- everyone blamed JD but he spent most of the time (on passing plays) running for his life.

Just an FYI, I told the boy after 10/5 game that eventually, regardless of how good you do in practice, if you don't deliver in the game, this could/would happen. I can understand Coach's anger over the 2 touch backs. But actually, the kid had his best average for the season at 44ypp. Kyle is not the kind of kid to give up. He'll keep working hard to get his job back. But for now, lets get behind Johnny Townsend as Gator's punter.

Muschamp's plan to win this season is the same exact plan as last year. Except this year our special teams is bad and our running game is pedestrian. Knowing he doesn't have these crutches to lean on, he has to realize there needs to be a philosophy change this year.

I don't dislike Muschamp...he seems like a nice guy and I really like the way he coaches defense. I don't think he's ready to be head coach at a place like Florida (said that from the day he was hired) and I hate his style offense. But I'd much rather have him as coach than Urban "my throat hurts 'cause Saban kicked my ass' Meyer.

ok then..I hope he does something about it because the coaching on the offensive side seems to be severely lacking.

i think it is on the coaches that our OL had so much pressure.

They went out with the exact same plan as last year. We are going to establish the run.

They ran on first down ever time and if they passed on 2nd or 3rd it was not more than 5 yards down the line.

Lsu stacked the line and it worked.

True, there's a lot more to a game-plan than "just passing the ball" as some suggest.

There were so many different things we could have done in this game offensively to have at least kept us in it. Muschamp needs to learn that you can't just play from behind the entire game when an opponent gets by our D a couple of times and gets a 10 or 11 point lead.

There's a time when you have to realize it's time to get the lead back, and not wait until the late 4th quarter to do it.

I don't have a problem with Muschamp's base strategy, but there are times when he needs to understand that it's time to do something else. I mean. let's face it folks... the man sat on an 11 point deficit the entire game and we lost because of it.

He acknowledged that, however we could not protect Murphy, and he didnt want negative plays. I dont think people realize big an impact a negative play on first Down is in an environment like death valley.

It's something Muschamp needs to do with our two starting OT's on the OL as well.

Bench 'em for a while after the way they whiffed on so many blocks Saturday. Get their attention back IMO.

We couldn't protect Murphy because LSU was bringing more defenders than we could block almost every time we predictably passed. Yet we tried very little to neutralize the blitz other than a couple of half-assed screen plays.

a negative play on any down, in any stadium, is a drive killer for us.

Proud Poppa - good luck to your boy on getting his mojo back. Kid has the skills, just a bump in the road. On the plus side, that pass was a thing of beauty.
