Bummer about Christy. He was so good last year. Hope he gets it figured out, and good luck to Townsend!

also said he would like to be more balanced on offense. but when you run the ball for 4.5 yards on first down you stick with it. he did not want negative plays because the o-line was not doing their job in pass protection. makes perfect sense. this is what i have been posting all week and many posters on here disagreed with me. its obvious coach knows what he's doing and did what gave us the best chance to win on saturday. no one on here can tell me that throwing the ball more against that lsu front four would have been a good thing. murphy was constantly being rushed, knocked down, and sacked. most of the pass plays were blown up before routes had time to develop.

Christy is benched? I know he has punted poorly, but don't you still have to stick with him?
    Is Johnny Townshend really better?

Sorry to hear about Matt. Time for KT to show his stuff. Murphy II?

Sorry that Kyle lost his job. Needs to get his mojo back, as I am sure he will. Maybe he was pushing himself too hard?

I would have liked to hear about the lack of production along the Oline and what is the next step. Just don't say that they all graded out as champions.

That was a short conference...not too much to take away. Some of the questions asked stupid...someone asked "why have Atlanta as a goal and not Pasadena?" Others brought up the anemic running game (most rush attempts in the SEC fewest yards per carry) and the defense's struggles early in games..I kept hoping someone would ask "why is this o-line so incompetent and what do you think of the job Tim Davis has done so far?"..but no one asked that.

I agree with you a bit, but you can do some things to be more aggressive on first down with max protection or backs out of the backfield. Same with second down. I have no problem running 8 times in a row if you are getting that clip but then throw 2-3 times in a row and attack. That can only help the oline!

if that would work im all in favor of it. and i think they will do things like that against other teams. its all about matchups. LSU was dominating us on the LOS. now if we go mizzou and we can handle their D-line maybe we see some of these changes. all about the matchups.

He forgot to add that this team was extremely poorly prepared and coached for this game too.

At least Spur-Dog would take responsibility for poor coaching.

Didn't say anything about coaching..just said we need to be more physical and have more (or I guess vs. LSU, any) explosive run plays.

did you watch it or just read the notes? because he clearly stated that the team wasn't prepared and it was on the coaches to get them better prepared.
