This is the University of Florida, we compete for championships, We execute and make the most of our talent (at least we are supposed to). Losing is one thing, playing like this is UNACCEPTABLE and reflects poor coaching and poor discipline.

TRANSLATION: This is the University of Florida, we compete for championships, therefore we are ENTITLED to be great every year.

    * Lost starters don't matter (13)

    * Key injuries don't matter (starting QB and top defensive player)

    * Strength of schedule don;t matter (combined W/L record of teams that best us: 19-1)

We are NOT entitled to be great every year, or even very good. Once again, when we lose 12+ starters, our regular season records were:

    1992: 8-4 (Spurrier)
    1999: 9-3 (Spurrier)
    2002: 8-4 (Zook)
    2003: 8-4 (Zook)
    2004: 7-4 (Zook)
    2007: 9-3 (Meyer)
    2010: 7-5 (Meyer)
    2011: 6-6 (Muschamp)
    2013: 4-3 (thus far) (Muschamp)

It doesn't matter WHO the head coach is.

Thanks for trying to read my mind spanky. I never said anything about being entitled to being great every year. Losing to a better team is one thing, playing undisciplined football is entirely another matter. Try to keep up.

Or should I say Muschamp and staff are doing an absolutely wonderful job?

His offenses when he was just an OC were actually pretty good...

It does matter who the head coach is , a good coach shows progress all we do is regress

"Competing for championships" imply a top ten team. We are not that and we are not EXPECTED to BE that every year. This year, people with half a brain should have expected Florida to lose at least four games.

Not at all. I think he and his staff (on BOTH sides of the ball) did a hideous job. But then again, Gamecock fans are saying that the game passed Spurrier by after barely getting by UCF, followed with a loss to a Tennessee team we dominated.

Georgia fans are beating up Mark Richt for losing two games in a row to Mizzou and Vandy. The are the University of Georgia, and they ALSO compete for championships. Lots of folks angry with their coaches right now.

Kelvin was the RB on the series after he scored the TD. We just didn't run the ball.

Florida is a Top 3 program where recruiting is very very easy. We should expect great things every year. Was WM not hired to win championships? How long does he need to accomplish that? Hell, we would take a competent offense at this point.

You feel entitled. We should NOT "expect" great things every year, any more than we didn't have "great" things every year when Spurrier or Meyer were here.

Muschamp is hired to win championships, and with another freak loss to Georgia last year, would have at least gotten us to Atlanta. This year, with 13 new starters, he should NOT be EXPECTED to win a championship, any more than he was in 2011.

I feel for ya on the offense; it is HORRIBLE. I'm also a VT fan, and I know what BAD offenses are. But we simply are not entitled to be great every year. No team does it every year, not even Bama.

why can't muschamp copy what alabama is doing or use the offense that malzhan is running at auburn----in his first year, he's 6-1, using average talent inherited from chizik, scoring 48 against texas a&M??? I don't understand.

Come on man. I'm sure you can see we are not even competing at this point. Yes, UGA lost two games too, but at least they were close. Same with USC. The last two weeks we didn't give ourselves a chance. Today was the most embarrassing thing I've seen since the Zook years. We weren't beaten. We were dominated. By a team starting a first time freshman starter at QB.

Also, Richt and Spurrier have shown they can win championships. They might get the benefit of the doubt. Muschamp does not and should not get that kind of leash. It's time he starts showing us something.

There appears to be turmoil among the players and probably coaches as well. The frustration is boiling over and Muschamp knows he has reached the point of no return with chaos among the players...not good

So now they get moral victories? They lost to teams worse than Florida (yes, Vandy is worse than Florida). We BEAT Tennessee, who beat USCe and nearly beat Georgia. They aren;t very good. Neither are we, unfortunately.

Don't remember too many games in the Zook Era where we were dominated. Zook's teams would crush this Florida teams. I don't think Meyer or Spurrier would win with our team right now.

Spurrier hasn't won a championship in 13 years, and Richt hasn't won jack in 8 years. They get NO benefit of the doubt for THIS year.

Nope. Fair is fair. You are hard on one, you must be hard on all. I'm not cutting any slack for Muschamp. His offense is horrible, he is not adjusting, and now even his vaunted defense is sucking wind. Right now, his coaching appears worse than any we've had since Doug Dickey (Zook looks like Saban compared to Will right now). But fair is fair.

What happened to that mentally tough UF team of 2012?
