They've gotten their butts whooped everytime they've tried an alternate uniform, so it seems they slunk back to their doghouses and burned them! (maybe we could learn something from the doggies o_O)

When Saban retires, it wouldn't surprise me to see a new coach come in and join the club at some point. Too much demand from players, recruits, and the athletic sponsors.

    You aren't.

During the Dickey years, the norm was Blue jerseys, white pants, Orange helmet with the interlocking "UF" at home and White jerseys with blue pants on the road.

There may have been some variety on the road pants - I'm not as certain of that - but the home unis were what I said.

Yea, not sure why Nike and them always try and make the players look like animals? Just seems tacky and silly to me.

While that was my first feeling, I then, and maybe I’m thinking too much but “We do what’s right for the team, but I want MY first pic running out in traditional unis”.

Everyone goes to the Penn State and Alabama unis as an argument. Those are solid colors and not much to change other than all of it.

There is so much tradition OUTSIDE of the universities from those unis that they are selling points in and of themselves. It would be a step backward to change those.

Under Dickey Orange jerseys were worn now and then, just as they had been under Graves, Pell didn't bring them in, they were already here ;)

Fun fact, in 1972 the Gators wore all white in home games and Orange jerseys on the road at fsu.

Who's Tradition? I was at Florida when Pell changed to Orange and went to the script Gators.

Just had to put this up at the bottom of this thread...
Chrome Orange with the Gator Head Logo....
    1. Well-known, mean, established logo...
    2. Perfectly balanced on either side of the helmet.
(As much as I like the Gator Script Logo, it is not balanced when looking straight-on at the front of the helmet.
    3. Toss in a bit of green to break up the Orange and Blue (same thing when one adds the striping of white to our unis. Believe me, the white MAKES our uniforms as a, "transitional color."
This helmet would really dazzle in the sunlight and be the only one like it in all of college football!

Was talking about Penn and Bama. They have always stayed old school and so it stands.

Wish I still had all my hair...:D

We are all creatures of our formative years. When I listen to rock, I still tend to veer towards Zeppelin, Floyd, ELP, Stones, and the other early 70s acts. The Florida of my college days were the Orange on Whites.

    Tradition...

Before Bama put names on the backs of jerseys, a Bama-Penn State game looked like the life size version of electric football. If you’re not old enough to get the reference, google it, it’s true.

Once I turned 40, recently, I felt old enough for everything. Once any movie seems like a family movie that’s not a drama, you’re old. It’s my new discovery.

I agree. I am a product of the 90s and grew up on rap and hip hop and 90s R n b (other than tupac rnb is my favorite) I used ALOT of 90s drugs too...ecstasy, ghb, steroids, etc...(did i just say that outloud?) and performed very well once i got into my major just as @Skink mentioned. Had the best time a college kid could ever imagine. I had more disposable income than i knew what to do with. My parents are awesome. Thanks mom and dad.

I’m not a fan but I’m going to put in my vote agreeing with Marlon. Whatever the kids want to wear, that’s what they should be wearing.
