i've been a stephen king fan since i saw 'carrie' in the theatre, have bought all of his books since. i'm a big fan of his on twitter also.....he's got a wicked sense of humor, and i love his book recommendations.

The last book I bought was Tommyknockers, I looked at several after that - they seemed like he was more interested in getting a book out than taking the time that clearly went into IT or The Stand.

brian de palma's 'carrie' was just scary as hell. you didn't expect the ending....and that was the only time that i liked the movie better than the book. after that, for the most part, no one ever did justice to a king book. even 'the shining'..with that great cast...jack was great, but the ending was stupid. the book's ending much better. eventually, when a mini-series was done with steven webber as the lead, and king doing the screenplay, it was much better. 'the stand' had to be a miniseries cuz of the length, but it was reallllly good. so i guess those were my fave king 'movies'...and 'it' of course. but mostly i just love reading his books..

'bag of bones' (book) was really good. really enjoyed that as one of his later books. 'insomnia' was ok. but 'bag of bones' was the best in a long while.
as for past ones.....oh yeah i LOVED 'the stand' ....i read til well past daylight when i first got it...couldn't put it down. you know what else was a great book? and it is one i kinda wish someone would try to film..(i didn't like the tv movie) 'salem's lot'....loved that one!

I read the Stand every once in a while (with the way things are going thesde days it may be more relevant now) and I agree 100% that Salem's Lot could be a terrific movie but the TV version wasn't even mediocre

Been awhile since I saw a movie. Went to see Murder on the Orient Express. I thought it was very entertaining. Cross between Clue and Sherlock Holmes.

Recently saw Baby Driver. In my top ten at least. Looking forward to seeing Lady Bird this weekend. That's getting some serious Oscar buzz for Saorise Ronan, Laurie Metcalf and writer/director, Greta Gerwig.

I watched "Everybody Wants Some" on the plane last night. I had been wanting to see this for a while. It was very funny and entertaining. Not sure what the point was and it ended abruptly, but I really enjoyed it. The actors were all great and the delivery was superb. I think there is a sequel opportunity here if they want to show them throughout the season.

Saw Florida Project, an indie film about the almost homeless families living in roadside motels just outside of Disney World, on 192.

It was really neat. I love the way these independent films show movies in a different light.

I thought it was overrated. Maybe because I know too many people just like that. The kids were good, but I feel like Willam Dafoe is really the only solid performance. The director/writer also did Tangerine which I felt was much better.

Saw Three Billboards today. Good flick. If you like the director who made Seven Psychopaths and In Bruges you will like it

Glad to hear. It's on my list of movies to see. I don't think it's doing that well at the Box Office.

Also, looking forward to Downsizing, Roman Israel Esq. and Father Figures.
