    Oops.........not in Ohio

    Columbus Dispatch: Aug 1st 2013

    http://www.dispatch.com/content/sto...ange-rates.html

"The online health exchange will offer more than 200 different plans from 12 insurance companies approved by the insurance department. Premiums will cost on average $332.58 a month in 2014, compared to $236.29 this year.

For small group health insurance plans, six companies offering 184 plans were approved to sell on the exchange. Those plans will cost on average $401.99 a month in 2014, compared to $341.03 this year.

“Ohio has traditionally had a more competitive health insurance market than other states with a wider range of prices and choices – from simple, high deductible coverage to comprehensive, full service plans,” said Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor, who serves as director of the Department of Insurance. “ That level of diversity is essentially outlawed under Obamacare so Ohio's rates and premiums are going up significantly, and going up more than in other states where prices were already high.”

    but, but, but, but...

Same old tired issue. The unintended consequences of liberal leftist policies that never work. When will we learn?

About every 32 years a new generation must be inoculated against the dangers and diseases spawned by liberalism.

I have to disagree on one point. Liberalism is a mental illness not a disease. :) But then again, it could spawn disease. It's a pandemic right now.

Problem with lefty libbies is that they are right brain people (like artists) and do not have the capability of logically looking at and solving problems. They "feel"...but do not think.

Your link doesn't work. Here is one that does:

    http://www.dispatch.com/content/sto...-rates-under-obamacare-called-misleading.html

Did the state, unlike Indiana, release their methodology? Here is what a group that did release their methodology found on Ohio in specific:

    http://aspe.hhs.gov/health/reports/2013/MarketCompetitionPremiums/rb_premiums.pdf

They found that the cheapest silver level plan in Ohio would cost $333 compared with a projected rate of $384 without the exchanges. That is an apples to apples comparison, rather than the one in the OP which is a black box study, with no released methodology as far as I can see.

    Some people can do both.

Which side of the brain makes gross generalizations?

The side of the brain who has watched liberalism ruin several generations of Americans. The side of the brain who has watched our former watchdogs (the media) turn from Journalists into Publicists for a corrupt administration.

You don't need a whole brain if you only see one side.

I'm wondering what side the libs even use. It is pretty obvious that the war on poverty isn't working. It's pretty obvious that the black family structure has been torn apart. Its pretty obvious that green energy produces power at multiple times the cost of traditional energy. Its pretty obvious that the sexual revolution wasn't so revolutionary. It is pretty obvious that a bloated federal government with multiple entitlement programs has us headed in the direction of Detroit.
