OK I'm calling for a moratorium on the use of "gangsta" by this forum.

I think those that are putting it in quotations are doing so in jest, I think we all agree the whole situation is beyond most of our comprehension, hence the need to use "quotations" and such to discuss.

Testing ...How? And when? During recruitment? After they arrive in Gainesville? Do you think that might be used as a huge negative against us in recruiting, if we were "selective" in who we tested, or especially if we tested everyone?

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but as a practical matter it would be impossible unless mandated and run by the NCAA.

Imagine if he would have never gotten caught or just broke from the game and enjoyed his riches for the rest of his life? If you are 100% certain that there is no God, and no consequences for what we do in this life, then why not be a gangster? Why work hard and get stepped on or trampled over when you can use your muscle and might to get to the top? Personally I love what AHern did for this school and refuse to erase his accomplishments and existence from my mind, even if UF wishes he had never stepped foot on our campus.

I don't think you can hold Meyer responsible for the things that a player does after he leaves the program. He did a decent job of keeping a lid on Hernandez's behavior during college, and that's all you can expect from a coach. Meyer offered him a way to a better life through football, but Hernandez didn't take it. Phillips did some bad things while he was still in college, so I think the two are completely different cases.

Even if you are 100% certain there is no God, how about the fact that it's just plain wrong? Most atheists don't act like thugs even though they aren't believers.

Thank you for expanding my vocabulary Coco.....I had to look that word up.
Never used (or needed to use) 'recidivist' in a sentence in my entire life.

I'll never forget the inmate in the prison library who asked me if we had any books on how to become invisible.

Did you tell him he didn't need a book, all he needed was some lemon juice?
