Has 2 years left on his contract, I think at about 5 mill each year. He get's that $$$ regardless and is now a free agent is anyone else wants to sign him.

$12.8 million guaranteed whether anyone picks him up. I want that kind of job. :)

Wouldn't mind seeing the magic sign him to go along with their new rookie.

Mike knew this was coming. Miami wants him but can't afford him. Think they talked about it on ESPN right after Game 7.

OKC would be a good fit for Mike. OKC needs a stretch forward to keep teams from packing the lane and cheating on pick and rolls. Mike could be the missing piece there.

But he feels he could play two additional years with no problems. Good luck.

    Go gator.

I'm shocked by this and was definitely wrong in my prediction.

Pat Riley just came out days ago saying they weren't going to use the amnesty. I thought if they used it on anyone it would have been Joel Anthony. Wouldn't save quite as much as cutting Miller but he was a non-used player.

This makes sense for all involved. I know that it sucks that Mike won't be on the Heat, but he looks to be pretty beat up physically and this way he gets paid a bunch. He is a great Gator and had a nice career.

Per some tweets it seems like Mike may have even requested it to get more playing time. Apparently they spent all day trying to trade him to a contender but couldn't find one and amnestied him.

Pacers could really use another shooter.

I don't know, Mike at this point in his career has a limited number of minutes he can play in a season. A deep roster needing someone with his experience and shooting ability is the best bet for him.

Yeah h's a little broken down physically, hate to see him leave the Heat, especially if he goes to a contender...but Mike makes out quite well, leaves with 2 rings and can still play elsewhere if he wants or hang up the shoes on top

To the Magic for veteran's minimum. That's what I'm hoping.

i loved watching him play for the heat but he has two rings, made seven threes in game five against OKC and he's got a huge three-pointer in game six against the Spurs with only one shoe on to point to as to how much he deserved those rings. He also got to play with a guy calls "his brother" Udonis Haslam for three years. Hope he lands with a contender.

Hope not. Didn't think OKC had any extra money to spend anyway. Nice little run with Miami. Best of luck to him. Guess Arison s deep pockets only go so far.
