They're handing out these t-shirts to fans.

I considered wearing a white UF polo because of the heat, but yeah screw that...I'm wearing blue now.

Free shirts still won't change the fan ratio. We will be there in force.

    From your lips..

And yeah this marketing idea is retarded anyway. Only works when they actually support their team and have 90% of the seats in the stadium with their fans. They will be lucky if it's a 50/50 split. This marketing idea will actually help illustrate how pathetic and fair weather their fans are. It will make the Gator orange and blue stick out even more on TV. Thank you scUM!

Yes, and this will allow them to hang white towels on the empty seats and claim a sellout.

I actually think they'll have 75-85% of the fans- this and FSU are the only games they care about unless they're good. The vast, vast majority of the fanbase is bandwagon who are all probably still celebrating the Heat title they gave up watching 5 minutes before the game ended.

That said I do think the attendance issues would be less of a factor if their AD and company hadn't built a stadium 25 miles from campus- how the heck is a student supposed roll out of bed hungover and wobble to a game if its a marathon away?

Also this is one of the few times a whiteout might be smart- get all of our fans in blue I he coral gables heat and half of them will have heat stroke by kick off.

Wait.. Stephen Ross owns Sun Life Stadium. UM nor the AD had anything to do with Building it. They just play the Miami Dolphins stadium.

Eeek. I dunno. We left a bit of our own stadium empty yesterday.

I see they are printing the orange and green glasses right on the shirt. Very appropriate for their fanbase.

The very top had some holes. But overall, it was a solid attendance. Toledo not showing up didn't help matters. Their allotment was a ghost town.

The Canes want everyone to look like their head coach?

    Lesson #1
A 'white-out' only works when you outnumber the opposing fans.

I would agree with this. Was pretty impressed overall, given the heat. Driving in we noticed that traffic was heavier than it was last year for Bowling Green. I will say that we left at halftime, the only time that I have EVER left a game early, going back to 1977.

Yep and no one wants to call out the Toledo supporters on why they didn't sell their allotment. By no means do I mean any disrespect to the visitor.

Well "fans" is a stretch - 20,000 people will be Miami residents who don't really care about college football but cheer for the hometown team along with their neighbor and want something to do. There will be enough hype in local media to sell tickets to them. Add that to the amount they had at their opener the other night.

I may completely wrong on this. My memory isn't my strong suit. But wasn't there a time we'd snap up whatever tickets the visiting team didn't sell?
