Team is ready, and lineup will be a bit different, as Stephane Piro is no longer a part of the program. Great weather today in Gainesville for a tennis match!

Wow....I guess I got my answer on his lack of singles play. Tough loss but maybe better for the program in the long run. Orkin hasn't played singles in a long time either, have to wonder if something is up there as well.

Important match today. Can't dig and early hole in SEC play.

Very tight on all 3 doubles courts, but USC with a slight edge on 1 and 2

Uf really hasn't played consistent doubles, which is a bit surprising

Lose on court 1, down late on 2 and 3

Lose on 2 and USC takes the doubles point. Not a good start, going to need a strong showing in singles

Newman dropped from singles lineup and Orkin inserted at 6...maybe getting my answer on why he has been sitting as he loses first set 6-1

Kind of opposite of what you might expect with this team....winning at the top today
    Watson wins first 6-1
Diep wins first 6-1....maybe the light came on for him at TAMU, he moves up from 4 to 2 and plays well
Hidalgo even at 4-4, he has got to pick it up with Piro gone
Lippman moves up to 4 and up 6-1 4-1....he's been the star of the season IMO
Alford down 4-5, another vet that needs to step it up

Of course as soon as I criticize Orkin he rolls through his second set and up a break in the third....and Lippman proceeds to lose his second set after praise

Alford on the verge of losing, poor showing for him
Watson also lost his second set.
Diep with a nice outing looking to close his match out
    Hidalgo won his first set

Overall match still up for grabs, Diep, Orkin look good, thinking Lippman and Hidalgo can win as well

Diep impressive at 2 evens the match and Hidalgo roars thru his second set to put UF up 2-1

Lippman has now fallen behind in his third, down a break
Orkin in a very tight match in his third
Alford loses a very close match...need a senior to win those
Watson even 1-1 in his third set.....looks like the freshmen may split and leave it to Watson on court 1

Orkin gets it done 6-4 in the third, nice rebound after the first set waxing

    Lippman down 5-4
Watson up 3-2 in what could be the decider

Watson finishes it out, Lippman in a third set tiebreak

Big big win. It's early in the SEC season but they really needed this match. Got to get better in doubles, but some gutty performances and some real progress from Diep.
