This would be a bad loss.....got to stop this one step forward, one step back at some point. Still winnable, but no margin for error left

Ingildsen seems decidedly not clutch, even for a freshman.

I've been a big Shelton fan but I'm starting to worry men's tennis may be Stricklin's 2nd hire based on the way this season is going. Granted, this program does at least have a top recruiting class coming in.

Missing Kessler hurts, but it doesn't explain away this match.
G2 is right that next year's class could be major impact.....wish it hadn't taken this long to get there

What happened was Kentucky pulled a fast one by insisting the match be moved inside. The rule is the temp has to be 50 degrees for TWO of the three hours leading up to the match or it CAN be moved inside. The temp was 50 at 1:00 PM with only a light wind of 6 miles per hour. ALL warm up was held OUTSIDE. According to Kentucky the temp dropped to 49 degrees at match time. They wanted to move it inside where they had a distinct advantage. The head umpire is supposed to make a decision. That person was incompetent. A call was made to the league office and they were wishy washy about it, since it was borderline to say the least. As in the spring ALL matches are supposed to be played outside unless there are extreme circumstances. There was NOT extreme circumstances to move inside. But Kentucky won the argument and the rest speaks for itself. Coach says the loss is on him and he didn't have our guys ready to play inside. You can go where you want with that one!

He'd have them prepared for indoors if there was a threat of rain? What's necessary for indoors? Is it all mental...tactics? Equipment?

BS on Kentucky's part...hate when junk like that happens. That said, nice of coach to take the bullet, but the players still have to step up and take care of business. Only Orkin did that
