if you would have shown me that graphic preseason i would have told you that you are crazy after seeing a florida qb in the top 3. and yes metty has looked great this year. its strength vs strength this week with lsu passing attack and uf secondary.

    He's also faced:

    #114
    #111
    #96
    #66
    #37
    #35

    defenses.

    We're #2.

....but it's winnable. It's just one of those games where you've got to do all the little things right. Murphy's done those things so far. We've taken pretty good care of the ball the last couple of games, and we're doing a much better job of getting lined up (properly), avoiding drive-killing penalties, moving the chains on third down, and now it appears that we've discovered a few playmakers at receiver.

Oh yeah, and the LSU offense is about to get THEIR biggest test of the year.

(in case you're wondering what we've faced):

    #15
    #27
    #59
    #63
    #79

ZM has been on fire this year....and he has a tremendous supporting cast on offense. One would be foolish to pick us in this game even with the control that Murphy has displayed. With Dom Easley we would have a real chance. Without him, a punchers chance to win it.

I will still be there to cheer them on.

Solomon Patton has been huge for UF recently. I don't know much about LSU's DBs but I know they do have one absolute stud S.

Trey Burton is a move the chains slot/WR. Not a deep threat and his running has been way below what you might expect.

Dunbar is a good WR. He isn't having a break out year. UF could certainly use one of the young WR's to blow up this week.

UF hasn't gotten much out of the TE position either. LSU's D has some weaknesses, neither team is perfect or unbeatable, it will be interesting to see which players come up big this week. I am sure UF fans would love to see Matt Jones run for 200 this week.

Yes indeed. That Arkansas RB found some creases. That has to be fixed or Les will run it all day

Like we didn't light up the defenses we've faced?? Let me just check our offensive stats here...oh, I see. :)

Kidding aside, I very much respect Mett and the LSU offense. Huge test for Florida. I also respect the Florida defense. Might look like an NFL game out there...until Florida gets the ball.

For example, teams that put up more yards against UAB:

    Troy
    Vanderbilt
    FAU

All three of their QBs put up more yards, too.

The only one to stop Hill so far has been a teen aged girl.

Lsu is good, our defense could run the table, look for # 11 on our offense to break a few for TDs, our running game will be the difference, we will get some respect after this game Go Gators.

Alex Collins is a better running back than Jeremy Hill

Maaannnnnn please!!! You sound like GatorAZ trying to argue with me when I said Gurley was better than Matt Jones. Alex Collins is a stud. Jeremy Hill is #2 in America

Really? You should brush up on their rushing stats 4 posts below yours. They may be winning by passing but it MAY have something to do with their 5yd per rush.

Maybe better than Hill was as a freshman, but certainly not right now. Hill is having a great year. I'd also imagine that LSU won't just give up on the run like Arkansas did when they were down.

Florida's defense needs to come to play from the first snap, not wait till the second quarter. And Roberson comes back just in time for the fun, hopefully he can get a pick or 2.

You know, it would be nice, but if it comes down to a choice between some other good defense and our "figure it out during the first quarter, and then absolutely squeeze the life out of you and your extended family for the rest of the game" defense, I'll take the latter. Nobody is perfect, and I'm not going to criticize the defense too much at this point.
