Creative would be to bring your big long fishing poles/rods and display The American Flag that way...

The article was going to be anti-gun no matter what. The flag sticks where just a nice little springboard for feigned indignation. Just like the article about Mom's Against Gun Violence being held hostage inside a restaurant for hours by an assault rifle toting mob.

Lol... that's pretty funny, river. And creative, but the poles/rods would be much safer.

Really not the issue, of course. There is not actually this ongoing, every minute of every day need to justify one's possession of a firearm. Given that it's an explicit constitutional right, if anything, there would have to be a minute by minute justification for denying one their possession of their firearm.

Is it covered in the second amendment? The "right to keep and bear" spears?

    I'm just wondering...

I would classify spears as "arms" so I'd say so. Something tells me sign/flag sticks and poles have been actually used as weapons during protests and counter-protests far more than guns so I'm sure the rule has practical merit.
