What a piece of crap this game is!!! All 3 of our recruits are ranked ahead of UKs PG Ulis, SG Booker and Dukes SG Allen, yet these low ranked players are rewarded just because of the espn hype machine for UK and duke.

im sure its not all complete BS, plus its not a huge deal, let it soak in for our guys and make them work harder. and I saw Duke's SG Allen completely tear up our guy Francis last month, so its not like these guys are scrubs.

No one in the top 100 is a scrub...but these 2 teams routinely get players in the game that don't deserve it. Remember Marshall Plumlee currently at Duke? He was ranked 70 and was in the game. Yet we have 3 players around 20-25 who don't make it. Thats wrong. I do agree that this hopefully has them work harder and harder to prove people wrong.

No kidding. If I were a fan of any non Duke/KU/Kansas team, I'd be hoping every single recruit gets ranked as high as possible - that they'd all make every all-star game and that they'd all be projected in the lottery.

I don't want to hear about recruits and rankings much longer...there needs to be a new measure...your heart. BD commonly finds those types of kids..refreshing to see

The Florida recruits are ranked very high but just missed the cut:
    #27 Brandone Francis - SG
    #28 Devin Robinson - SF
    #42 Chris Chiozza - PG

This kind of reminds me of the 2004 class: Horford, Brewer, & Noah were top 50 recruits who really shined as sophmores & juniors!

I'm not arguing that players can't get a bump from the school they've committed to and perception stuff. Not trying to argue that.

But Booker and Francis are neck and neck (25th and 26th), Ulis is ranked ahead of Chiozza (35-38), and I'm pretty sure Robinson isn't eligible for the game.

These kids are all immensely talented. If Francis can develop aspects of his game effectively he will play in the league. Robinson needs to bulk up and he will be a potential future All Star

Going to UK definitely helps. Hype machine exists for a reason: they have more fans, thus more viewers! ESPN exists to make money. I don;t think any of these kids was slighted too bad. They'll end up in the Jordan game, which isn't bad at all. Parsons went to that one and not McD's if I recall.

There is a high risk/reward factor to the one and done approach. Without the once every five years type player like Davis, the chances of snagging a championship are low, with low retention. I'm happy to pepper in the five star type of kids with the four year type guys.

would i rather have a top 5 team or a a lineup full of Mcdonalds All Americans that can't play together... I will take the first option. Even though Kansas is going a great job as of late blending their freshman talent.

I was using the 247 ranking.

    Francis-19
    Chiozza-28 and
    Robinson-29
