Really seems to lack vision and goes down easily. I think we're really going to miss Gilislee's ability to maximize yards on every carry this year. Think we should go more committee with all the options we have at RB.

Lets not judge Matt today. He probably wasn't even ready to play.

I'm willing to give him a pass until the Vols given he's basically been out of football since the bowl.

Again, comes down to coaching decisions: I'm not sure he should've been fed as much as he was today when all the other backs rep'd in game situations last week.

They could've brought him along slowly but instead they threw him into the fire and his reads seemed off as well as the obvious early fumble

I don't think he was ready.

The Mack truck was sidelined way too often today

Then he doesn't need to get as many carries.

Was disappointed in his results today.

If Matt was not ready, then why in the world did he play most of the game. I think Taylor should have been given some carries based on last week.

Giving him a pass due to the illness. But so far his hype seems to have been generated by putting up yards against a gassed FSU defense last year.

    I agree he wasn't 100%.

I also agree he shouldn't have had that many carries.

Not a game to judge him. But I WOULD judge the use of him as much as he was.

I just don't get that feeling like he is a great back. I just don't see it. Now, I will say that time will tell that he is a good back. But not great.

Part of the grind-it-out running philosophy is that one or two of those runs are going to break for 40-50 yards. It's just hard to see that happening against capable defenses with this group.

He missed a lot of wide open holes by my count. He could have broken outside on a few runs as well. Our RB's looked very poor to me today. Very tentative, running into blockers, indecisive, too much shuffling feet.

Have we had any long 50 yard TD runs??? I can't seem to think of any.

Jones isn't the answer we thought he was, virus or not.

It's a crime that Taylor didn't get a look. Muschamp stifles offensive talent and delays development.

He'll get better. He looked pretty average today.

That said, I think we could stand to benefit from a little caution on Jones. Some still seem to annoint him like the next Emmitt or Fred. Wasn't that technically his first game as a starter?

He is slow. Big strong and lumbering slow. Tooooo slow. Don't know waht it looked like on TV, but in person he had very little.

The kid who looked great from the stands was Dez Showers.

I agree, why did not put him or Herndon in? They have the home run quickness ability IMO anybody can run foward but a back with vision and the cutting ability as those 2 displayed in the 1st game is what we needed to complement the power. Or give showers the ball more. He averaged like 10 yards a carry
