Per Muschamp he is out for at least a week. Taking antibiotics for an illness.
According to Muschamp's presser. He has a serious viral infection. Sucks
sucks if true
doesn't sound like a huge deal
ok in the other thread I said doesn't sound too bad but this does
Not a big deal in terms of his health but he will miss a lot of reps. As Muschamp said, man down man up.
He also said that woodpeckers never get concussions, they have an extra bone in their necks.
Not sure what that has to do with the thread but it was a funny comment.
I assume Matt's viral infection is the result of a procedure to have that bone put into his neck.
What else can happen in the next 3 weeks ? Man.
If it is a viral infection, then antibiotics will not work. However antiviral medicine might.
so, he has a cold?
My understanding is you generally get antibiotics to counter any opportunistic bacterial infections that can come while your immune system is distressed.
For most viral infections there is no anti-viral treatment.
Looks like the backups are gonna get a lot of reps now.
That's two pretty weird things to happen to our two most important offensive players.
Hurry and get well Matt.
Most antibiotics run there course in 7 to 10 days. Likely missing a week and out indefinitely are two different things. I'll wager he's back for the start of week 2.
Right but as mentioned if it's a viral infection the antibiotics are probably not for the primary infection.
Get well soon matt!
There are no antibiotics for a viral infection, are there?
Is that anything like the procedure Madonna had?
