Muschamp said Kelvin was going to play a good bit against LSU anyways because he had practiced well
Too bad, we need RBs.
jones was never the same this year---that virus messed him up and he didn't recover.
Sorry to hear it. The good news is that its the kind of injury he can come back from 100% next year.
Kelvin, now's your chance to show your stuff. We're all excited for you. Mack Brown has also been better than almost any of us expected. I think we're OK at the position still.
Will Herndon now get more carries too?
I don't blame him but here really needs to stop saying it's minor or that they'll be fine wihout confirmation.
At least that's all it was. Get well soon Matt!
knee injuries are tough to tell on the spot like that. the three injuries that most cry about are debose, easley and now jones. all knee injuries. they could be tweaks and they could be serious but until they get the MRI or whatever scans they use now.. you really can't distinguish on the spot
Never in Florida history have they lost due to season ending injuries their #1 QB, #1 running back, #1 DL and best player, #1 offensive lineman all in the same season.
Who's next? This has to be the most unluckiest team ever and remember SEC championships and national championships all involve some luck on the way to getting there.
Dont forget #1 Kick returner, and Matt Rolin who I believe was going to play special teams
Good perspective, Jag.
Fortunately, this is a position of depth for us and both Brown and Taylor have looked good. Herndon certainly looks very promising as well--I'm eager to see him get a chance.
Sad for Jones though, he looked like he'd finally turned a corner in the first quarter, running with power and purpose, but goes out with an injury. He'll be back though...and will be rooting for him next season.
Plus backup defensive back Nick Washington. Then you add all of the injuries that weren't season ending & it has been a mess. We haven't built up enough depth to overcome this.
Wow! What more can you say?
Overcome the adversity on the field and play the game in front of you.
We still have a lot to play for.

Funny how it usually starts out that the player just tweaked something and then we find out from a message board that they are out for the season.
he said it a press conference and their was a press release how would they know he tore his MCL right after the game?
As bad as it had been for us, I think uga got hurt as bad. No way they lose to Missouri without top three receivers and top two rb.
And let's not forget about one of our best ol.
