996- when reading what you post I tend to come away with the feeling that you support obama mostly because he is black-and you seem to think that those of us who oppose him-oppose him mostly because he is black
Not at all...
I laugh at the Obama obsession....
I think most people oppose Obama out of ignorance of the issues at hand
And there are a multitude of reasons for that...
Pathetic! Those people worship at the alter of Barack Hussein Obama!
jfk wouldn't recognize the democrat party today. there's a lot of serious revisionist history with regard to his policies and beliefs.
in addition, if you are fan of civil rights, his assassination helped speed up the process. lyndon johnson had the political power and skill to get it passed through congress. i don't know if jfk ever would have.
That's because of the civil rights vote you speak of....
The Southern Democrats that opposed civil rightsleft the party and became the modern Southern Republican party.
Thats right. The movement today is a gross perversion of what Dr. King started. It's not about civil rights anymore - it's purely about color.
Like al gore, sr, and his son
Btw, where can I order one of those flags? By no means would I be interested in burning it.
I wonder how much of the current civil rights activist world you really know about.
You think women's rights & gay rights achievements recently occur without the current day civil rights movement.
All of the people that support the NAACP, Rainbow Coalition, the Action Network, etc. are just blind?
The disdain you show for the intelligence of black people comes shining through in your comments here.
Ever been to a recent civil rights organization's meeting?
Do you have any idea what gos on inside them?
What they are actively working on?
is the flag revolting because it's obama or are you all hardliners as far as the image of the flag goes?
i didn't request a brush up on flag etiquette nor do i need one. your personal opinion would've been fine.
Some see the beauty in a confederate flag....the most anti-American flag you could make....
.... and want to talk about desecration if Obama's face is there?
It's just scary, no matter whose face is on it. Bush or Clinton, I'd feel the same way.
Unfortunately, ignorance & Obama are no laughing matter. It's those issues at hand that are becoming detrimental to the future of this country.
Bill, you are one of the smartest guys on this board...
As to your first sentence..I have a one word answer:
Point me to the discussion of the confederate flag?
You probably think the Civil War(and the formation of the Confederacy) was all about slavery too, right?
i'm not a fan of leaders on flags either, kinda creepy from any political side. and it's got nothing to do about keeping the sanctity of the flag, just a symbolic issue...for myself that is.
