@g8tr96...looks like you beat me by a second or so...LOL!
I wonder if they have any idea how many time their pictures have been plastered on the internet?
How do they feel about it?
They don't mind. Lulu was happy about it. She bought that sweet jacket specifically for that game and wanted everyone to see it. Mission accomplished.
I'd like to meet him, and chat about cars. I wonder if he just collects street cars or if he is also into hot rods and racing.
Sorry bout that tilly.
I tossed mine so we wouldn't have dupe posts :joecool:
Thanks, Tilly! Great memories.
A couple thoughts to take from that game --
1. Spurrier used two running backs really well, keeping fresh legs late in the game. Both Jackson and Taylor had great games. We have that run-depth today.
2. Even with a 55-30 lead in the 4th qtr, SOS has Danny fling the ball 30 yards or so into the end zone for a TD. And he wasn't wide open. Not many coaches would take that chance. Gotta love SOS for his spirit...
3. Loved SOS's closing comment - "... the Tennessee fans messed up our alma mater, never seen that before." Now THAT is a true Gator coach -- it ain't just about Ws and Ls, it's about respecting the Gator team, the fans, and the traditions.
Man, that was great to watch. I like Mushchamp, but God I wish SOS was still our coach. Ashamed we couldn't keep him here longer.
I remember watching the game where LuLu and Junior were "born". I was pissed off that we, SOS, blew the chance to beat them at home the week before (got into a huge fight with the wife and parents on the way home) and weren't in Atl. Just as LSU broke it off inside the vols, they showed LuLu and Junior in all their glory. I laughed out loud and woke up the already pissed off wife. I asked my brother if he had seen them and he didn't watch the game (he was still pissed off). I had no idea it would take off like it did, I still carry a picture of Lulu and Junior in my wallet!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lulu and Junior's World Travels
Not long after the 2001 SEC Championship Game all these Lulu and Junior photos started popping up on message boards. Some LSU fan by the name of BradyJ had the "priceless" photo and soon after I saw that one and so many others I thought "Now I have a use for that free personal web page that I have with my ATT dialup web service" and I slapped together the very cheesy Lulu and Junior's World Travels.
Sometime later when I dropped ATT for DSL or cable internet or whatever Lulu and Junior's World Travels disappeared from the web forever. Or so I thought. Looking at this thread tonight my tech savvy girlfriend said "Why don't you see if it is archived on the Wayback Machine." A quick search and copied link and here it is, and fairly functional too.

^^^LOL, Nice! Here they are:
