LSU is a better, more competitive, and longer-standing series than f$u

We've not only played LSU more times and for a much longer period of time, but the series is much more competitive.

f$u is simply inferior, and LSU is our toughest yearly test......always have been and always will.

IMO, we should drop f$u and pick back up our other true rival from the west, Auburn

Hard to find the hate for LSU. Seems like both schools have a mutual respect for each other.

FSU/UF it vitriolic and I'd like to keep them on the schedule. Ruining their foolish dreams is too much fun.

UT and scUM too. I've really grown to appreciate the LSU game in the last 10 years. It's one of the best on the schedule. But I agree that the hatred just isn't there. There seems to be a lot of respect between the two.

I love the LSU rivalry, but since 1990 we're 17-6 against them and 12-12-1 against FSU. I have a hard time calling LSU a more competitive rivalry.

Uh, no. LSU is a great game, but there is respect (not hate.) And them being in the western division makes is less important than if they were in the east with us. Georgia is a much more important game, and a fiercer rivalry along with FSU. I know FSU isn't a conference game...but it's FSU.

Question for the OP. Are you FROM Florida?

I simply dont see how a Floridian could feel this way. Its fine if you are and do, I just dont get it.

Every year a top rivalry thread pops up. LSU never finishes higher the 4th or 5th.

    It almost always goes:

    1. FSU/Georgia
    2. FSU/Georgia (Depending on #1)
    3. Tennessee
    4. Miami
    5. LSU

The reason being....LSU is the LEAST hated of the 5. No real animosity.
Truth is both fanbases like each other too much to be rivals.

I must agree. Nothing but respect from all of the LSU fans I know and I lived in NOLA for 7 years. The greatest fan base aside from ours in the SEC.

I've been saying this for years to people. LSU is our 2nd biggest rival behind UGA. Now I'm talking from a competitive stand point though. From a hating stand point their behind FSU. I'd rather play LSU every year than FSU.

    Since 2004 we are 7-2 against f$u

    You were saying?

    Since 2000:

    4 BCSNCs
Seven combined SEC Titles (4 lsu, 3 uf)
No school winning more than two games in a row vs each other.
    Almost every game is competitive

anyone saying f$u is a more competitive series is uneducated

I wish uf could dump f$u as a regular game and go national--but, f$u grads in the legislature would hit the roof and cut state funding

OP has to have been born in the mid 90's. The last 9 years does not define the rivalry.

    I mean, since 1990:

    5 NCs
    19 conference titles

So a rivalry has to be competitive? ....and over a 12 year span?
Sorry Tennessee and Georgia, you are no longer our rivals either I guess.

But if you want to use small clips to make your point, lets look to the 1990s.
Florida/FSU was not just the biggest game in the state. It was arguably the biggest game in the country.

Your entitled to an opinion, but you'll have to find you a sharpie and a volleyball on that island.

And the best tail-gating by far is in Baton Rouge. Can't beat the food!

I was saying if you look back in the last decade or two decades we've more regularly beaten LSU than FSU.

Well I for one am sickened that our competitive rivalry with Louisiana Lafayette had to end. That game was always very competitive.
