Alright guys, after Debose I didnt see much of a loss seeing as he was a minor contribution in previous years. Chaz then goes down with his season ending Injury I became a little uneasy. I was upset when Driskel went down but then Murphy won me over and gave me confidence in the QB position. With the news of Easley going down today I really am beginning to doubt our abilities this season. Anyone out there that can give us reasons to be optimistic while being realistic about this season?

Thats why we get 85 scholarships, dude.

It sucks, but its part of the game.

They're all big hits that may be too much for us to overcome this year. When JD went down, there went pretty much any chance of winning the SEC East, but losing Easley was HUGE.

Hopefully, we can at least beat our two other main rivals UGA and FSU (which I think we still can), and call this bizarre, injury-filled season something of a success.

Seems like we are snake bit this year with crucial injuries.

Well, I feel bad for the kids who get hurt, because they're the ones who've put their lives into that sport. I'm bummed I won't get to see Easley blow up SEC O-lines again. But we have plenty of guys to fill in, and our defense was much more than one guy.

We have a TON of Dlineman to fill in. Easely was the best but we have a lot of able bodies to rotate in.

Win the rivalry games and ruin their seasons. Short of Murphy turning into Chris Leak, Atlanta is a dream IMO.

Why is it always our starters? Pisses me off, I wouldn't wish injury even on the water boy but man we have some just down right horrible luck with our starters

What if Easley had left after last year for the NFL draft? Would we have said then, "Well, there goes next season"?

Worse than a starter in this case. Easley was our best player. But yeah. Debose, Green, Driskel, Dom. This is ridiculous.

The uga game in particular. We haven't lost three in a row to them since the 80's, let's not start this year. F$U, nuff said.

    After KY, Vandy, directional Kentucky....

    LSU
    USCe
    Arky
    Mizzou

tough slate, even without the turnovers and injuries

this team will be fine. just wait. i have no doubts that the defense will still be able to do what they have been doing all year. im not doubting yet. we'll see how lsu looks against uga. uga's defense is awful so we will be in that game. usc hasn't looked impressive. and fsu at home against a freshman who has never seen a secondary like ours. this team will be able to still compete and win all of our games. of course we may not, but i don't see this team losing 5 games this season. i think we go 3-1 during this stretch, call me crazy but i think its super possible.

A lot of variables there. I think most people thought Louchiez would be our best player this year. He's been solid for sure but far from our best player. Should he step up and start making the ridiculous plays he made last year, maybe we won't miss Easley as much. Not many people expected our ace punter to start the year this way either. He hasn't been bad but with this offense, we need him to be what he was a year ago.

Many people also expected our offense to show some improvement. We saw it the first two weeks, short of the turnovers, but with Driskel down, Green down, Jones still not himself, and our offensive line banged up as always, that's as much of an unknown as ever.

Given those circumstances, we needed Easley to be playing the way he was and we'll miss him sorely now that he's gone.

Reminds me of when we lost Caldwell and Ray MacDonald for the year against Tennessee in 2005. Same week and everything - tough to overcome for sure, and hate it for Easley. He could be in the NFL but came back for one more year.

It hurts theirs chances, without a doubt. But let's not raise the white flag yet.

If the season goes down it flames it was already going there even without the injuries.

It hurts cause he was my favorite player, and I admit I am down right now, but it's a long season. We aren't the only team with injuries.

let's see what happens. it's a team game for a reason.

I'm thinking we should move Orr over to Easley's slot since he's probably the second fastest lineman behind him.
