Robert Arnold a off duty police officer in plain cloths shot and killed an unarmed Vet in Orange Texas.

" Arnold was suspended from the police department not only for his actions in killing the unarmed man, but also for his past acts of aggression as a police officer. For instance, Arnold once punched a young teenage girl in the face and tried to hit a man with a metal pipe, but missed, and instead broke his fellow police officer’s leg "

Forgot to mention Arnold is black and the Vet is white so does any one really think obama or any other liberal will care.

no obama wont care. and I do not think he should. i did not think he should have said anything in the trayvon matin case and I do not hink he should comment in this case.

now, I will be interested to see if there are any riots, protest, mobbings in stores over this. My best guess is no. no one will call for justice for the white vet. There will be no signs no picketts,. Why. The media and race whores will be no where to be found so this will be tried as it should

in a court of law not on tv.

I think it's safe to say that the Orange PD acted stupidly. If I had a son, he would look like James Whitehead. That is to say, 12 years ago I could have been James Whitehead.

More importantly, how was this guy still a police officer?

Who protects us from the police?

He needs to be convicted of manslaughter and sent into general population in prison.

If what happened in this case had occurred in the TM case....there wouldn't have been any "protests".....there actually was a legit investigation unlike Sanford....hence the resulting protests and outrage.

    1) Shoehorn's Obama into the thread title: Check
    2) Baits the other side of the political aisle: Check
    3) Provides no substantive comments in the OP: Check

This could be a good thread despite such an awful beginning.

Horrible, horrible situation this one if the few bits I picked up from the link provided are true.

Summary since the OP didn't bother to:

Hard on his luck white Vet is raising hell in an auto-parts store while unbeknownst to him armed, off-duty plain-clothes black cop with a history of aggression is standing nearby.

Gnarly black cop on a power trip (has a noted history of excessive force) goes outside to retrieve gun and cuffs without announcing who he is, engages Vet. Vet decides he will leave, cop decides he won't let him. Vet calls cop everything under the sun, particularly a n****r this, n****r that, cop unholsters his firearm and unarmed Vet does not cower: BAM.

Speculative, my interpretation from the bits on the web, f'in horrible.

How this cop was not tried for murder is beyond me. How this has anything to do with Obama is just silly. As another poster said, this could really start an interesting thread in that it raises some valuable points about our dealings with police shootings in recent years. The movie Fruitvale Station is out and starting great dialogue, the recent thread out of Cleveland about the "waistband" incident was just fresh on TH.

And now this: how this cop was not tried for murder is unreal! Actually, it wasn't unreal, it seems par for the course for the band of brothers who appear to be drawing a clearer line between them (cops) and us (everyone else) and creating a law that applies differently to them (cops) and us.

Case in point: the New Orleans shooting of the kid in the neighbors yard. If that guy was an on-duty cop, he'd simply say he thought the suspect was armed in the act of committing a crime and fired in self-defense, end of story. And I say that because for all the noise we make about the media and the "race whores," these guys (and they do all seem to be guys) are getting off with a slap on the wrist and paid leaves of absence. In this case a black guy got off and it's good for the conversation because it removes the red herring of race and shows us that this is more an issue of the impunity of law enforcement personnel we've abetted in this country.

This is what the thread needs to be about. And about how the media did not cover this (happened back in 2011), about why they did not cover it. Period.

Are all LE bad? Of course not. But when things go bad? No matter race, creed, color, they all get off.

There's a reason why police are called pigs and a lot of other nasty names. It doesn't matter what color they are, when you hire a bunch of low IQ thugs to be your police force, the power will almost always go to their heads.

So I guess all the evidence brought out in court was plenty to convict him. Oh yah, what was the verdict?
No investigation, more like nothing to investigate.

There was a legit investigation in the zimmerman case. It is just that the results were not what lmsm and race whores wanted to hear.

And in this case we call this a legit investigation? This was a justified shooting by a cop...and the zimmerman or N.O. homeowner are not legit? Why what is the difference that makes this ok I so many peoples eyes. What is different here?

Well there was an investigation there and there was also a trial by a grand jury in 2010 that said no criminal charges would be filed.

Probably worth noting the date on this: July 2011.
