There's only one way Free Shoes U gets the recruits to go to a stinkhole like Tally, and it ain't legal. They're just so far in the middle of nowhere they don't get caught... too often.

Boldin never committed to UF, silent or otherwise. I was at UF at the time and everyone knew it was an uphill battle for UF since SOS was recruiting Boldin as a WR and not as a QB. SOS only talked about Boldin playing QB near the end when it was clear he leaning toward FSU. UF fans thought they had him after he missed his plane to FSU for his official visit, but SOS couldn't convert his parents.

Also - be thankful Boldin didn't go to UF as he was a major disruption to the locker room while he was at FSU. (He wanted AP to be the QB over Rix)

You, sir, are a racist! How dare you talk that way about Florida A&M!

Hey, that's not fair! F$U's probation was for academic cheating, not paying their players. They totally got away with paying their players. In fact, I think that the guy who owns R&R Trucking and Collector's Attic is still head of the booster organization, and is likely still paying the players. They've probably stopped using Collector's Attic as an ATM machine for players however.

Roy Adams used to post on the various UT football message boards under the moniker "Tennessee Stud" and "TennStud".

Nah. Auburn HAD THEIR OWN BANK. Lowder (sp?), the head of Auburn's booster organization and the de facto athletic director (the "real" A.D. answered to him) was a bank president or owner of some sort, and he used bank money to buy players. It got him in hot water when his bank got into trouble in the 2008 economic crisis, and he received federal bailout money, and SPENT SOME OF THE MONEY ON PLAYERS. Then the bank went under for good, Lowder is broke, and financing the football program just got a whole lot tougher.

Because he isn't a true fan and was formally disassociated from the UT athletic dept a very long time ago. He has no credibility with anyone. Roy is a homosexual who likes having influence in the lives of athletic young men. Fulmer once called him a "little queer". Nothing wrong with being gay but whatever Roy has done was for himself and in his own best "interests". To whoever said Bama hasn't needed to cheat please google Logan Young.

Wasn't R&R where one of their QBs got caught with his hand in the "cookie jar", so St. Bobby threw him under the bus? Kid was taking blank checks and filling them in or something like that?

Btw, this is not the first time Roy has brought this up. He likes to boast of having bought players for Tennessee but has never provided the name of a single Tennessee recruit that took money from him while he was a booster which was over 20 years ago. Why not name names if you're telling the truth? To say this is a rehash of some ancient stuff would be an understatement. The NCAA is very familiar with Adams and UT has been investigated at least twice over him - most recently 1991 and the recruitment of Pete Bercich, a lb that went to Notre Dame. Roy reminds me so much of the creepy old pedophile from Family Guy with the handicapped dog.

The thing that really irritates me is that when we were at Florida in the early 1980s, we knew the other major programs in the SEC and ACC were cheating their butts off, but the powers That Be turned their heads for so long, they could no longer have credibility as the media continued to report it. Therefore, they followed Pell from Clemson and watched him, and when the time was right, they made an example out of Florida. The hypocrites even vacated our first SEC title (it will forever be our first title. WE still have the trophy). That is I will NEVER have ANY love for the hypocritical SEC who allows the Bamas of the world to collect their titles regardless what they did to get them...
