(Hypothetical thread first of all for conversation and a thread). If spurrier was back and hired in 2005 would he have done as well as meyer/would he still be here/would the program be in better shape overall as it is right now?

    No, not as many titles.

Meyer proved the program is not one guy, that was invaluable, if Spurrier is still here we could get as bad as Kansas St, they are just one guy.

Just a hypothetical thread man! Glad a decent answer without someone getting all crabbed up because their wife is in the other room bitching. Seems the summary of gator country posters nowadays. Have fun

I think Spurrier with Leak, Chad Jackson, Andre Caldwell, CI, etc. could have done some real damage to defenses. I don't know if he could get the D to play like they did in 06 though. Maybe with the right coordinator he could have won a championship. After that it is hard to see. Does he sign Tebow or Brantley or Aaron Murray or that Punk who went to USC or Jevan Snead? Hard to say.

I just wish we could have gave spurrier another fighting chance without us asking him for an "interview" like he said. He is the face of gator football and will always be to me
