No wondering. We all know what goes into the deci$ion making. Stories like the one in the OP generate revenue in our red/blue country. Stories like this one here are largely ignored because, no matter how much it may effect you emotionally, there's no way to lash out at the red/blue team.

Incredible find. You're right, stories like that need to be put out there more often. And you're right about the media deciding what to report on based on controversy/ratings in order to create revenue and controversy. It's almost reached the point where if the story does not promote their particular point of view or cause enough controversy, then it's not worth putting out there, which is a disservice to the public in general.

What would you rather click on:

    "Syrian Hardliners gain inroads" or

Just check your local paper, ours has a section called "Rants and Raves" perfect forum for people to squawk about stupid crap. IMNHO it's usually some crank with nothing better to do.

The person who wrote the letter exercise's their right to freedom of speech and religion, but does not want their neighbor to have the same right?

My reaction: "Honey, looks like we need a couple hundred more stands of lights!"

On a more serious/sad note: I almost feel sorry for the person who wrote the letter. What a shallow, self-absorbed pathetic existence they must lead that the presence of Christmas lights just completely upsets their day. Then again, perhaps it's fitting. Maybe, if we're all lucky, their miserable existence will lead to suicide.

Like when you first heard that story you either went out to prove it was a lie or said to yourself "those damn hateful conservatives". So which hypocrite are you?

You did one of the two, set out to prove the waitress lying- as you do with anything negative about your dirtball President- or you imagined she had to be telling the truth about mean old Republican Christians. Which was it? Think hard river.

I imagine I said exactly what I said about this case: So what? If one person left a stupid note or if the waitress faked it, so what?

Sure there is when it comes to the baby Jesus. Like Christmas can possible means something else. This is what we should do; all those that don't like the Christian holiday meaning, go and work through the Christmas holiday.

Why does that matter since we are talking about someone born over 200o years ago? Rarely do we have many events from that point in that time pin pointed to an exact day. He factually existed and his birthday has to be celebrated at some point in time. You have a problem with that?
