I said he was a solid player, confused why you think my posts suggest this place is going down the tubes.

Well that is encouraging. Jones looked very good and Mackenzie was electric returning kicks. Bring in as many play makers as possible and a couple will step up and lead our offense along with the recruits from last year. Now we need to close on these kids and keep lane and we will be ok.

Lane has an awesome opportunity here to be the man. Rudolph was a big pick up for Fsu because he is a stud and starter. Now lane needs to decide if he wants to be a leader or follow cook like a puppy dog.

People like you are making this place unbearable which is why a bunch of good poster are leaving.. I will ask you again have you ever seen him play? I have seen him play 4 games he is fantastic. Yes I have been following him all year. I loved his Jr film.

Staff has been interested he has grade problems which are looking better. He cant even get into ND right now. Plus UF just got a new OC and they want some quick guys. He will visit UF this month.

You're simply full of nonsense. Your statement tells me you value your own opinion too much.
You never asked me to start with so you cannot be asking me again.
Excuse me but you're telling me you went to see this player four times, in the Ft Lauderdale area? You stated before you don't live in South Florida. Do you travel there to watch HS football often?
I don't believe you. You might have known about the kid(that he's a decent player) but I seriously doubt you've been following him all year. Now, if you announce you're actually a coach, involved with HS football in S Florida, or a recruiter for another school I would believe you've been following him. But no, I doubt you've been following him all year otherwise.
The staff hasn't been that interested, obviously. There's been no offer, no visits, nothing until our one top flight receiver looks to be a nole.
You mean "we" just got a new OC, right?

No I havent been to his games I have watched on TV or via internet stream.

I have been following him all year. He plays on Sony's team and Gibson is his QB. I watched almost every good player in Florida's film. I saw his film a little later than others I watched most of the WR's for this class film in November of 2012. I watched his in late may early June.

Staff keeps tabs on players they have known who he is he is on Sony's high school team. They haven't been actively recruiting him. They are going to add more than one WR. This kid is very good.

Why would he say that Doc?
You said "Minnesota" and Jones. Who did you mean?

I'm certain it's not just us. All passionate fan bases are irrational and emotional. That's what passion is. If anything, we don't get to other team's boards often enough to understand that.

Jones might be good and if he comes to UF I hope he embarrasses Cook and fsu every time we play. I think he looked better than Cook yesterday. Cook's TD run was one I think any decent back would have made. But if Cook stayed Jones wouldn't have sniffed an offer, even though we could justify taking 2 RBs this cycle. I can't help but feel like I would have expected some defections because of our season and certainty of negative recruiting. I certainly believe that if I were in touch with Cook I would have figured out that he was not committed a month ago. It just is not unreasonable for some fans to wonder if the staff is reactionary in some of these situations. If that comes across as emotional, nervous, lacking faith, etc, so be it. If we check the LSU boards there are likely fans wondering how their class is falling apart, even though it isn't.

    1) Sarcansm
2)Sorry. McKenzie and Jones were the talk of the town.
    3) 4-8 made the irrationality almost unbearable on this and other Gator sites this year.

Wonder if it means anything that Lane is no longer listed as a commit on Scout? He was listed as a soft commit, now they've removed it altogether.

    Per TOS:

"Ermon Lane now says he will announce his decision on signing day, so he is no longer considered a UF commit... Lane is considered a strong Florida State lean now that his close friend Dalvin Cook is set to enroll there next week. The five-star wideout from Homestead, Fla. has been removed from the Florida commitment list and we will continue to track his recruitment through signing day."

I just don't see Muschamp lasting after the 2014 regular season. He's not getting the playmakers he needs to win the SEC, let alone the SEC East.

Wouldn't it be nice closing with George Campbell, Jeff Holland, Adoree Jackson, and Jeff Jones? Let's see if the staff can bring them in.

My suggestion: Either reaffirm his commitment out of the public, or pull the offer and be done with it.

Recruiting in the 305 is not worth the effort. Just own the rest of the state.
