He is going to LSU. Our staff has closing problems.
Very depressing. I remember we used to dominate these games and recruits used to choose us during the game. Now they are all decommiting and choosing lsu Fsu or bama.
We'll be fine. You can't be on top forever. Look at Nebraska, Bama/Shula, Michigan, FSU. It's cyclical, we will be back soon enough. Just going to have ride out the storm, and hope Roper is as good as advertised. If not, and we don't do well this year, then a new coach (not in training) will come in and fix things. Florida is a very appealing job, always will be.
Bring back the "Mayor of Gainesville". Kids will line up to play for Charlie. We wont lose many recruiting battles with him at the helm.
@RyanBartow: #Florida offers 4-star running back Derrell Scott. http://t.co/939bQFTHtL @LukeStampini @GatorBait247
Why do we always see "Bama/Shula", as if they only had one dud era? They had seven coaches between Bryant and Saban and, except for Stallings, none of them had anything resembling a top program. Dubose? Curry? Francione?
Looks like we are going after 4 star WR DeAndre Thompkins who is a Penn State commit. Wonder if this is a back up plan if Lane de-commits. Thompkins is from NC so he may have a connection with Roper.
The ironic part is LSU is saying the exact same thing right now. "We have closing problems. We already lost Noil to TAMU and now UF just stole a kid from our backyard who's mom was begging him to sign with us".
UF is not going to be "fine" until we have some changes in leadership. Whether those changes are personnel changes, or philosophical changes, IDK, but right now, our rivals are kicking our butts on the field, and also beating the crap out of us on the offensive side of the recruiting trail.
But they are saying it with 3 5 star and 11 4 star commits so far.
A very interesting article by Adrew Spivey yesterday quoting some interesting bits from Quincey Wilson:
Wilson says he felt betrayed by Cook and the way he went about things by not decommitting.
He also says he thinks Ermon Lane sticks.
We are ranked pretty high yet you talk like we are behind a hundred teams instead of ahead of a hundred.
@ZachAbolverdi: #UF has offered Under Armour All-American WR Isaiah McKenzie (@JoyStick_izzy) of Plantation American Heritage. #Gators
He's a 3 star and has shown no interest in the Gators so not sure why we are after him. Maybe a back up to Lane. At 5'8 165 he's tiny but is a solid player.
Hold onto lane and land a top flight rb and another speed guy then add some more beef the stronger deeper teams usually win
Both ESPN have them at 6 and us at 10. Most of their guys are from Louisiana where they have no instate competition and they still lost two of the best kids from their own state. They sure can close...
I am guessing you have never seen him play. Wow this place is going down the tubes.
How is a UA All American a 3*?
Exactly. People need to open their eyes (not talking orange and blue glasses) before posting.
Soon he's gonna say we offered Jones as a consolation because he's from Minnesota and nothing good ever came out of Minnesota.
Besides the Cook debacle, Minnesota and Jones were the talk of the UA game. And we have a great shot at both of them.
Sad how Gator Nation over reacts to every little thing.
I'm just saying a nucleus of 15 4&5 star players is pretty strong. Sure, it hurts to lose in state players, happens to us often. I really don't see what your point is.
Do you have a fantastic line of BS why anyone should have seen him play when the staff's shown no interest, has no visit scheduled, and is committed to ND? Let me guess smart ass, you've been following him for months, right?
I think you're a nole.
