Right because teams with bad offenses never seem to lose.

Look it's pretty simple, and the previous poster explained it well. There are three phases of the game. To win rings you generally need to be good at all 3, especially offense and defense. And typically you have to be great in one and good in another.

Great in one and bad in one can win lots of games, but will also lose at least a few a season. Those teams don't get rings.

Would you rather have a ring or not?

Honestly, what did they expect after losing so much of their starting defense and top two WR's from last year? That they were just going to be dominant again?

What I've realized after watching several games yesterday is that the SEC Title is up for grabs.

I guess reading is optional for you...

Where did I say, I wanted UGA's defense? Read more carefully and try to keep up.

I'm the fan that is wishing for a good defense AND a good offense. Why are you so limited in your thinking that for you it's an either or proposition???

In what way do we need uga to win?

uga could lose every single game this year, and as long as we take care of what we can control, we'll get everything we deserve.

Not really, I was merely attempting to inject some perspective. You seem to want something (UGA's offense) you can't have. Since we don't have UGA's offense . . . . oh nevermind. Commence with complaining about 40/20 TOP 400/200 yards and 24-6 scores.

Very true, our roster is not optimal, we are doing what's best to play to our strength, that's defense. Offense main priority is to not lose it for us. We need better players on offense, not much to do about that right now

I watched that whole game and while the QB's made a few errors, Murry is light years ahead of Driskel. Not to say Driskel won't be great, just at this juncture in game one... That one pass that Murry threw on the run was impressive. Georgia's defense was pretty suspect, but both teams offenses were very, very good. I hope that we'll be able to put up that many points again some day against a top ten team. It seems all of the good offenses have massive O-lines that allow their QB to just wait around without worry until someone opens up downfield. Hopefully ours this year will be better. You can sense our offense is due for a breakout year, I just hope the coaches allow it to happen. But next week will be a decent test. And I personally don't see GA beating SCe. Spurdog will take them down, just sayin'...

Why would the coaches not allow the offense to breakout????

I'm a fan. I want it all. Sure it's high expectations but why shouldn't I expect the best?

I just don't agree with the folks that keep saying that everything's alright. I know what I see.

Agreed. This strength of schedule talk is nonsense. Just win, baby.

This works if we go undefeated, it does not provide a margin of safety if we lose the way a really good SOS does, this isn't rocket science and we most likely will not win every game.

A 1 loss SEC team is more than likely getting in... 2 losses and all bets are off.

If we win the SEC with 1 loss or fewer we are in the BCS game. If we lose 2 that's another story but what will we expect if we lose 2?
UGA losing last night didn't hurt our cause in any way shape or form. It's idiotic to think otherwise.

Gators not enjoying this UGA loss because of infinitesimal chance it could keep us from the BCS title game are just plain silly- and are missing a lot of joy today.

The good guys won- the bad guys lost! Football is fun- for this week. Nice.

Well there is more than just making the big game, it may be the difference in going to another bcs bowl game. Point is its a marginal benefit, how beneficial is hard to say

Say it ain't so!! A senior, four year starter, is better than our Junior two year starter? That can't be right.

Pretty sure Miami, FSU, USCe and LSU are on still our schedule. Not to mention Bama if we win the East. Truth is even without UGA we play one of the toughest schedules in the nation.

Their national title hopes ended last night. Ours did not. Let the tears flow in Athens, Georgia.

Well, maybe not exactly. We have some very good players on offense, they just need some experience.

We don't have them now, I too hope the ones we have are actually good, but we do not know that yet.

What will be even more entertaining than last night's game is watching Clemson absolutely dismantle fsu by about 30 points when they visit Clemson. lol
