Can't read an electorate. He'll never make it as a candidate in the National Presidential League.

After 8 years of hope, change, an additional 10 T in debt, an economy on life support, college grads working part time, Obamacare with gazillions of exemptions and having to choose new docs who can't see you for a month....I'm guessing Cruz/Rubio or Cruz/Condi Rice or Cruz/Paul Ryan or Cruz and the frickin elephant can beat an old, tired looking Hillary and her girlfriend or Uncle Joe in a straight jacket with gruel running down his cheek.

It's the demos time to nominate their Bob Dole. So Hubert Humphree or Walter Mondale, come on down!

You do know this sounds a lot like what Rep were saying the last election.....don't you? How did that one turn out?

The Republicans need to start working on finding a candidate the people will vote for because they would like to see them in the White House. Not one that is just the better of two poor choices.

If the takers actually do outnumber the makers, or at least rally them to vote early and often, not sure that it will matter in a national election. At the local and state level where budgets must be in balance, yes.

Write it down, Cruz will never win an election outside Texas.

Presidential candidates must have a certain amount of charisma and appeal to win the election. You think the country would vote for a creepy little turd like Cruz? I do hope he runs just for the entertainment and the chaos he would cause in the Republican primaries. But unfortunately, I don't think the repubs are quite dumb enough to nominate him.

i imagine she crushes him in most polls right now. I just don't see him as a legitimate contender. Kind of a cross between Gingrich and Santorum.

Cruz is an extremely intelligent and gutsy politician. People said Reagan wouldn't make it either, but look what happened. I am not predicting he'll be the nominee, but any combination of Paul, Cruz, or Rubio works for me.

Y'alls Tea Party echo chamber is making you think way more people agree with Cruz than do.

Need proof? A pretty dang senior Republican congressman (Peter King, who is not exactly a liberal himself) just said on CNN that he "can never forgive Ted Cruz" for voting against his own party and putting the House in a position that they can never win and will harm the party moving forward.

Thanks for cheerleading a Republican civil war? While I will sincerely appreciate the planned opportunity to watch Cruz get crushed in 2016 and hopefully shut up the "Republican Stupid Caucus," you're doing nothing but harm.

I don't see the appeal of Cruz. I think an exploration committee would tell him the same.

he throws bombs at the Democrats and makes a lot of accusations. That's it. And it doesn't matter to his fans that many of them are false. All they want is someone who insults. Nothing more.

Are you kidding, that's a plus! The less sense he makes, the better he represents the Stupid Caucus wing of the party.

I wouldn't say that. I don't think they're necessarily opposed to making sense. It just doesn't really matter as long as insults are thrown.
Look at the 2012 primary. Newt jumped up on the GOP polls and in praise from conservatives on Too Hot when he really blasted CNN's John King for the question about the claims of his wanting an open marriage. Newt climbed his usual high horse and claimed that his campaign had offered several "personal friends" to the ABC who would refute the story.
That made great points with many conservatives and Newt zoomed up the polls. Too Hot conservatives loved it.
Of course, his campaign manager soon admitted that what Newt said wasn't actually true ....

    Very good advice.

That would be my bet. I'll be surprised if he's even nominated.

One of the major reasons I don't see him ever winning. We don't elect bomb throwers to national office.
