I would love to see our LB board with the targets we have. I assume Holland has always been at the top, but who knows after that.

I really hope Holland pulls the trigger for the good guys. I would be happy with him, Baker, Thomas, and Coney. That is a nice get. That is the potential making for a really good LB corps.

Why would all of these guys want to go to the same school? Would their playing time not be jeopardized?

Not with how much Champ rotates the defense in and out. He's all about keeping fresh legs on the field, so even though one or two of those guys won't offically start for us for a few years, they'll still get a lot of playing time early on, which is the big draw for us.

We play 3-4 LBs at a time. These guys bodies will develop differently and will fit the WLB, MLB and SLB positions differently. Plenty of playing time.

Exactly, plus Thomas has the frame to grow into a Buck. We also took 0 LBs last year, so the depth chart isn't that intimidating.

Did you guys see that article by Spivey on Derrick Graham? He said we're pushing for him, and that we have a spot open for him right now. He's got great size at 6'4" but I'm not sure how great of a LB he will be. I wasn't overly impressed with his tackeling ability in his highlight video, and he only runs a 5.06 40. I mean that's just not quick enough for an SEC caliber LB.

Maybe he's made some great strides this summer, and Spivey did say that he impressed the coaches who I have total confidence in, but he seems more like a project player to me. If this kid does commit to us, I hope it doesn't deter players like Holland, Coney or Smith from commit here as well because it's already going to be a challenge to get just 2 of the 3 as is. One more LB in the class just makes it that much harder.

Probably could move to a 5 technique if he has enough ass. You cant even think about a 5.0 forty on the hs level much less SEC

Yeah I mean he plays TE in high school as well, but I'm not sure I see him at that position either. The 5 could be a decent spot for him if he gains substantial weight. He's at like 210 right now and needs at least 40 pounds to start moving an O-lineman. It could definitely be done, but it's going to take some work. The good news is that his frame could easily support the additional weight needed, and there's always the posibility that he adds on some weight his senior year as well, which would shorten that gap to the 5 technique like you mentioned.

I heard a rumor that they are thinking about it just to see if you could possibly put a negative spin on it. I think it was Holland that guessed "Now we're definitely not going to get any good linebackers next year"...

According to Muschamp we play more nickel(3cbs) or dime(4cbs).But we could play 3-4.Any of two of the above mixed with Davis,Anzalone,Rolin is a nice problem to have.Me I'd like to see a 4-2-5 with(2cbs)(3ss)one man deep and two safties on the edges.

It's going to be tough to land another great LB after Baker and Thomas committed to us. I think we will, but it'll be tough

Looks like Coney is ND bound. At least there are a ton of recent predictions to that effect.

Yeah it's been that way for a while now. He did say he really enjoyed the LSU game, but I think he's worried about PT them most

Which is funny, because I think we can offer PT at LB. It's not like we have our typical set of world-beater LBs right now.
