    Derek Tyson ‏@DerekTysonESPN 58s
Christian Miller's facebook status reads: "Officially committed to THE University of Alabama. Roll Tide." #Bama

Typically I would put this in the SEC Rivals thread but this is big news. While this is a blow to UF this is an even bigger blow to UGA They have some back up options but nobody fit their system as well as he did IMO.

Could this potentially affect players like carter and Raekwon?

It just seems to be getting worse and worse. I won't jump off a cliff though. At this rate the rest of the country will have there classes full in September.

If they all have full classes and a lot of prospects we want are still uncommitted wouldn't that be good for us?

McMillan plays a totally different position than

Miller. We probably trail UGA..Clemson..Alabama for McMillan.

Miller said he always wanted to go to Bama just didnt know if they were going to give him a committable offer. South Carolina fans said when he committed to UF they did not think Miller had a commitbale offer to Bama.

It's amazing that these players don't mind getting in line at Bama behind all the other talented players. They don't mind waiting their turn and possibly playing one year before going pro. Of course, there are the ones(Moten) that want to go somewhere that they can get PT.

Reading that article just shows you how powerful Nicky Saban and the Bama program is. I guess when you've won 3 out of the last 4 national titles you have a right to be. As soon as Christian committed to UF and showed a lot of interest in us, Saban calls him and tells him you're #1 on our boards at linebacker...we really want you and need you more...blah blah blah!

Sounds like Saban was not going to let Miller get away after he learned just how interested Muschamp was in getting him.

Whatever Nicky wants, Nicky gets. success breeds success. With that said, Muschamp is close to getting our program to the level Bama has been.

I dont think it had anything to do with Muschamp. I think they assumed he would wait around while they figured out who they wanted. UF kind of did the same thing with Pugh.

Jacob Pugh, Christian Miller, Lorenzo Carter, Deshawn Hand, Rashaan Evans, Bryson Allen-Williams Dante Sawyer Justin Thornton are going to be really good pass rushers and early in the year everybody was trying to figure out who was the best fit for their team and who to go after.

Grades played a factor scheme played a factor and where some of them committed played a factor.

You are right sir, and I think grades are more of a factor for us than any of our surrounding rival programs. So not only do we have to find great players on the field but those guys that are good in the classroom as well.

So his grades weren't an issue when he was a commitment to the Gators, he then "decommits" from us on May 17, and now that he is a commitment to Bama on July 25, grades suddenly are an issue?

    Come on guys, that's weak.
