Let them do that and take it one step further in only allow black fans to attend and see how that goes.

Not to derail the thread already, but if you ever wanted to know why the Knicks have been mediocre forever, they employ people like this in their front office.

While Dolan is terrible at running the Knicks, LJ's role seems like one that doesnt have much to do with personel decisions and on the court stuff. A lot of teams employ former players as PR/community/basketball relations type people.

Yeah, the article doesn't say what exactly he does. Still, clearly not the brightest of people I'd want in my organization.

Ah, so many idiots out there. Perhaps LJ wants a return to a more segregated America.

Chris Paul allegedly said he only wanted to play for a black coach so I guess he's a racist too.

Doesn't mean that, but if Dirk said he only wanted to play for a white coach what would people say?

Also, he would be silly to say something like that when he could just sign with whoever he wants and its no ones business why...

It might, but Chris Paul doesnt get to pick the coach (if he actually said that) so ultimately, he's powerless (even if he signs for a team with a coach he wants to play for, they could fire him and install another one at any point). People like Sterling actually are in the position to disriminate along racial lines, especially in the properties he owns. In fact, he's being sued by the federal government for doing exactly that.

I guess thinking before he makes statements is not his strong suit.

Maybe, maybe not. It would depend on his reasoning for only wanting to play for a black coach. There is more nuance to being a racist than simply mentioning race.

are you honestly that offended that Obama answered when asked about what Sterling said. So now it's "Yeah, well what is going to say about a black saying something stupid? Huh? Huh?"

Has Obama said much at all about black racists?

    No.

The asshole has had a lot to say about white racists though.

Bernie Goldberg made a good point. You can have a black football player get drunk and kill someone with a vehicle and get suspended a few games and go back to playing football. Michael Vick can get convicted of fighting dogs, doing some pretty sick shit to dogs, go to prison, and get a football job when he gets out.

Some crazy white guy says something stupid and derogatory about black and the whole country loses their mind. Over WORDS.

    But he is a raaaaaaaaaaaacist!!!!!!

Why should anyone care what some crazy old guy SAYS, NOT DOES, SAYS.

Larry Johnson says something just as bad and all we hear is crickets.

We live in the age of symbolism - you say the wrong thing and you're toast. When a filmaker wants to leverage kickstarter to tell the story of Dr. Gosnell murdering babies kickstarter uses a lame excuse about "community guidelines" to decline the project. It's okay - kickstarter is a private company and can do it wants; however, PLEASE do not talk about "tolerance" and "diversity" because the pot is calling the kettle African-American.
