I will always rabidly support the Lady Gators lacrosse team, but after last year's Final 4 screwjob, I will never watch another lacrosse game. Its rules make no logical sense and the corrupt officials at that game literally killed my faith in any semblance of fairness or credibility in the college game.

The staff might expect more from you....they built a completely new message board for Lady's sports, where they opened a game thread and reported action and score updates live throughout the event (see link below).

You didn't look it up in the right place

Didn't have to look it up. The match was shown live on Sunsports, and had it's own thread in the other forum. Disappointing end to the season, but it's a great new sport at UF and a building program.

    Go Gators!!

Yes, this^^^^. I watched the game. Disappointing end to the season. Just wasn't our girls' day. I guess we will have some more "unfinished business" next year. Unfortunately, we are graduating a large group. I do not know enough about the team to say if we have equal replacements for this group, but it seems that we have a great coach so I am going to assume we do.

Watched the game. Seems we did well when we had the ball. Just didn't have it enough. TOP must have been over 2 to 1 in Syracuse favor.

a lot of rumors out there that the lacrosse heiracy, and the selection committee is not happy with how fast a newcomer, ie florida, has gotten so good so fast.had the seeds been flipped, as, imo, the should have, florida would have had a huge home fiekd advantage, especially playing outdoors in the heat and humidity rather than indoors in a controlled environment,.

Go read the college lacrosse message board and you can see lots of dislike for the Gators and the speed with which we have risen. I am sure that translates to the powers as well.

Does anybody know what our prospects are for next year? Do we have any top players returning? Do we have any big time recruits coming in? How should we do next year?

They signed 11 players and 2 are from Florida. Chloe is from St. Edwards in Vero and Carli Marsh is from Pine Crest in FTL. Both are probably the top players in Florida. The other 9 from the Northeast and I would think the group would be strong enough to be in contention for the next four years as well. Having a top notch goalie like we had made a big difference so I'm hoping they have one to replace MM. Carli assists with my daughter's lacrosse team and she will be a difference maker as she is a scoring machine. You will see in the next 3-5 years Florida will be putting out equivalent or better talent than some of the traditional states like Maryland and NY...the programs in Florida are really taking off around the state and the girls are playing year round.
