It wasn't there best day but they kept LSU under 20 points and it was good enough to get a win. LSU has a good offense, and we kept them in check. Gave up only 3 second half. Still love our D and hope the O catches up.

It's kind of what I thought. LSU proved that we have gone from an elite D when we had Easley, to a really good D without him. There's a difference.

That being said, our D held a very good offense to just 17 points.

Meanwhile, our offense made what, until yesterday, appeared to be a very mediocre LSU defense look like an elite D.

I tend to agree, but something tells me they knew as the game went on that they didn't have to score that many to beat us. Les said as much in his halftime interview. He was fine with running it down our throat and laughing at our offense.

And number fifteen had a really rough day. The game played to my fear, their run game did us in

Is this the guy who was arrested and reinstated by a team vote? If so, his questionable character will catch up with him and what he accomplished yesterday will not matter.

What he accomplished yesterday matters to anyone that is a Gator. He ran all over us and it counts, regardless of his questionable character.

IMO, LSU could have scored a lot more if they wanted/needed to.

Very disturbing how they were able to run right up the middle on us.

UF hasn't allowed an SEC foe to score more than 20 points in 13 straight conference games.

The defense played ok. But LSU obviously had a very conservative gameplan, smartly, that Les is known to have in big games against strong defensive teams. It's bitten him in the ass a few times but they basically beat us with our style of ball by doing it more effectively.

Now would LSU have scored more if they were more aggressive? No one knows but they were for sure playing it safe.

Yay ! Still a loss. We are very lucky they didn't score more, they should have.

Has anyone else noticed that in the three games this year against decent teams (UM, Ark, LSU) our defense has gotten gashed in the first quarter each time? I think WM likes to see what the other team is doing and make in-game adjustments, which we've been very good at. Unfortunately we don't have much of a catch-up offense.

In Les Miles comments after the game, he said he was going to run until stopped because he wanted to be the most physical team and UF was playing small sized.

The defense did all they could under considering they had a Mack truck bearing down on them every play.

I lay this loss at the feet of Muschamp and Durkin for trying to keep a redshirt on Jay-nard Bostwick. Supposedly Jay-nard has been made ready for play as the next big DT in. Why we didn't move to the 4/3 and have two big DTs to shutdown LSU's run game is a mystery to me. Instead of playing a 270 DE at DT, we could have had 305 DT Bostwick:

    Leon Orr - Darious Cummings
    Damien Jacobs - Jay-nard Bostwick

That DT rotation would have shutdown the LSU running game. In the outside chance that we made to Atlanta to play bama, we'd have to do this or bama would flat out kill us with their running game.

I don't know that we would have put pressure on the QB and slowed down the LSU WRs, but I would have enjoyed that better than watching the D fight a losing battle playing undersized to the LSU running game.

Would not have mattered, our OL gave TM zero time to throw. Game over.

I don't know that we couldn't have won 6-0 with the game plan Les Miles brought into the game if we had gone with a 4 rotation of DTs in the 4/3.
