I understand there is a three pack deal for these tickets this year, and think its smart by UFAA. Does anyone know if there will actually be tickets for sale next week to either of these games? I read in a separate thread that someone thinks they are already sold out. How can that be? Any information is appreciate. I am a UF grad, wife went to Kansas. We want tickets.

Here is the deal - - - the UAA tied this three pack for the exact purpose of blocking UK and KU fans from grabbing up the seats. At least initially, the ONLY way to purchase a ticket (unless a season ticket holder) is to buy the entire 3-pack. Single game tickets will NOT be offered. The thought, of course, is that a travelling fan is less likely to do this than buy a ticket to the single game he/she wants to attend. And so, the hope is Gator fans will buy this 3-pack and opposing fans will not. The ticket packages have NOT gone on sale yet. I believe that will happen next week. I will try to remember to post it when I find out.
But reports that these games are sold out for Gator fans are entirely incorrect.

If a 3-pack of tickets to games where two of the matchups are KU and UK doesn't sell, there are simply no excuses. IMO those are 2 of the most interesting games of the year.

Actually, is that possible? Did they stick the UK and KU games in the same group?

UK and KU + one other will not stop UK and KU fans from buying the package and stub hubbing the other two.

Maybe not, but it is an effort.

When I first moved to Florida and Florida was in the old Gator Alley you had to purchase season tickets to get a UK ticket.

Little has changed since then. That is why I became a Florida fan because you sure as hell are not going to buy season tickets and only go to one game.

Playing games with ticket sales will not aid Florida in its quest to build the program and it smells to go jump through hoops to lower the number of Kentucky fans getting into the UK games at Gainesville. Many posters on this board advised that only a few dozen ever show up and the announced attendance is above 10,000 for nearly all games. So why is this action necessary?

It is two different 3 game packages. You can not combine the UK and KU ticket.

    http://www.gatorzone.com/tickets/?tsport=baskm/three-game

If you want KU, you have to buy 3 games, UK is not an option.

The same is true in reverse.

I guess this makes sense but I have bought tickets for Kentucky two out of the last three years pretty much on the first day or so the single game tickets were available. We come to Fla once a year from DC area so three game plans make no sense. There were a few scattered second level seats available (corners mostly) and a lot of the third level. Seems like it is a lot of trouble if it is to keep someone out of the crummy seats we were in (my husband in the row behind me). We were wedged between rather large boosters who talked right across me. Last year I invited some friends now in the area and went to the Alabama game. I also bought them very early. The location was the same but I could get a few together. Unless someone knows a system I don't, these are unlikely to be great seats. That said I can easily see local casual fans buying one of the packages.
