Was he hurt?
He was benched for being a freshman
Again the staff shows it's intelligence by taking the only guy to find the end zone out of the game......and shockingly we don't score in the 2nd half.
Injuries, lack of depth, and lack of talent's fault...oh wait none of that can be blamed for this.
baffling. guy is an impact player
Which means it's obviously Meyer's fault
A coaching staff with absolutely nothing to lose plays not to lose the whole second-half that was a pitiful performance so sad for those kids, coaches, who had a great game plan, reverted to must champ -itis

Got his participation trophy and went home with Fred.
No he played:
1st and 10 at FLA 43 Kelvin Taylor rush for 2 yards to the Fla 45. 14 13
2nd and 8 at FLA 45 SOUTH CAROLINA penalty 15 yard Unsportsmanlike Conduct accepted.
1st and 10 at SCAR 40 Kelvin Taylor rush for 2 yards to the SCaro 38.
2nd and 8 at SCAR 38 Kelvin Taylor rush for 2 yards to the SCaro 36.
3rd and 6 at SCAR 36 FLORIDA penalty 5 yard False Start accepted.
3rd and 11 at SCAR 41 Trey Burton rush for 4 yards to the SCaro 37.
4th and 7 at SCAR 37 Johnny Townsend punt for 27 yards, fair catch by Victor Hampton at the SCaro 10.
::SIGH:: People don't read the game stats at all:
They alternated all game and of 6 drives in the 2nd half, Taylor had 3 of them.
Here's his production in the 2nd half:
1 for 2 yards
1 for 3 yards
1 for -2 yards
1 for 1 yard
1 for no gain
1 for 2 yards
1 for 2 yards
1 for 2 yards
USCe shut him down completely in the 2nd half - he had 8 carries for 10 yards.
Yeah. He missed some holes too. He is a great player, but still young, and playing in the worst system in CFB.
Just posted this in another thread so I'll copy/paste it here.
"We shelved KT? No Scar's Defense shelved KT. Here's how our second half drives went:
3 Plays 4 Yards Punt - 2 KT Runs 1 Pass
11 Plays 62 yards Missed FG - 6 Mack Brown Runs, 1 Burton Run, 1 Patton run, 1 Joyer Run, 1 pass (included 15 yard penalty on SCAR)
3 Plays -1 yard Punt - 3 KT Runs
4 Plays 20 yards punt - 3 KT Runs 1 Pass (Includes 15 yard Penalty on SCAR)
4 plays -3 Yards T/O on downs - 1 Mack Brown Run, 3 Passes.
And then the final two drives where we passed on all plays.
They always rotate the backs on each drive, KT got plenty of carries just couldn't do anything with them."
Yep and was in on 9 of the 35 2nd half plays and never touched the ball after his 3 carries for 6 yards at the 12:18 mark of the 4th quarter.
Yeah, he really looked shut down on the 1 screen pass he caught on the last drive. Here's a hint for you.....if defense is keying that hard on your RB you CAN use play action.....however I'm not sure this staff is familiar with that part of modern football terminology.
Hey now, I distinctly remember Herschel and Bo Jackson sitting out 26 of the last 35 plays too....oh wait, that's because they were up by 35 points....
Thing is, it's up to the line to block and make some holes. Maybe we need to recruit that Fridge 2 Tony Picard guy to have a chance. He can just carry them with him.
We threw far more screen passes in this game than the whole season. Maybe we should have tried them more but how many screens can you run before the defense adjust to it?
That screen pass makes it 10 plays he was in on of the 35 we ran in the 2nd half. And 4 of those 35 were punts too. Mack had 8 plays in the 2nd half.
If you recorded the game, go back and take a look at the SC defensive alignment in the first half vs. the 2nd half. They adjusted in the second half. in the second half, they generally played with a 5-3 with the heavy side defensive left (offensive right), which is where KT got his first half yards. Did we adjust? Noooo. We stubbornly did the same inane right zone blocking into the strength of the SC D and ran KT right EVERY STINKiNG TIME. We NEVER adjusted our block scheme OR our strong side direction. We NEVER called a running play to the defensive weak side. We make that adjustment in 9-10 year old football every Saturday, and we are a bunch of dads who went to a couple of clinics by our local high school coaches. It is maddening that we have coaches who cannot make a simple adjustment such as this.
